Oy, the drama. Why is this girl fighting her friend's battles, and why should it matter to either one of them that someone is using an icon that may or may not be the one that one of them created? People just piss me off sometimes. luvtheEmcee, you shouldn't have to deal with this insanity.

Em, I'm having a love affair with this thing I'm making you. It's almost done...hope you like it as much as i do! lol
Well, it's all about this LJ etiquette business. Like, it was posted on a page with a note that says it's only for certain people. For all we know, someone could've snagged it, stuck it on a random no-credit-given page and that's where my friend found it for me. I don't use LJ, and I didn't know; part of the reason I don't use it is because of the bizarre politics in it. Like, share!
Anyway, she's asking her friend if I may use it with credit. If not, I'll commission someone to make me an "I loved Adam...." icon with a different photo, or something. I don't want to put someone through the work of my pickiness if I can use the one I've got!

Guys, I'm having my first "really close friend of mine didn't like the movie" thing. It makes me sad. But I'm okay. She was like, "I think my expectations were too high." I apologized profusely, because I'm certain I had much to do with that!
Adam looks sexy in pink! Thanks!
Allie, on a similar note, my mom and dad saw it today. I'm posting about it on the anecdotes thread as we speak.

And she called Maureen a slut! *gasps* I'm making her tell me what she DID like, so I'll feel better, hehe.
haha, well she is.

I get a little crazy with the color pink, but I'm glad you like it. My friends hated the movie. It was really hard to be so moved by this film while sitting next to two people who would rather be doing pre-cal homework =/

Great minds think alike! Bah, I'm so afraid that my best friend won't like it, because then I'll have been bugging her for five months for nothing.

Well, I don't know exactly if pre-cal would have been their alternative of choice, but trust me, they'd rather be doing anything but watch that movie and they didn't hide it. Which pissed me off on account of them knowing how much it meant to me. But hey, what can you do?

Emcee that really sucks! I don't make icons myself, but if I did I would never have a problem with someone useing them, that's what they are for!
I saw Rent for a third time tonight! I went with my mom and she loved it. I think all mother's must love Jon Bon Jovi, because my mom is obsessed with Adam's hair now, lol. I've had several of my friends call me to say that they liked the film. Two of my very close gay friends told me they loved it, and that made me so happy. One of them even had the courage to come out to his homophobic friends when they said that Angel dying was the best part of the film. Tomorrow I am seeing it with my two best friends, and I am very anxious to see how they like it- I hope it means as much to them as it does to me.
Well, she says her friend will probably let me use it with credit/permission.
I love it.
I posted in the anecdotes thread (it's a MONSTER post) about my parents and Rent.

I know I'm very late on this, but I've never been on the Off-Topic board before today, so I just saw this thread...how can I go about getting the audio from the Symphony Space screening? :)
I'll PM you the YSI link when I upload it.

Did everyone hear the Sirius interview thing? There was a link on the LiveJournal community. It was a whole hour, and really good!
Oh, not yet! I will tomorrow. I'm so tired now. I need to eat still, though.
Would you mind adding me to the list of people to pm the link? What an amazing interview! If there are too many people, I'll reupload it for you if you want.
I saw the movie again tonight and it definately got better. For some reason, I was more open to receiving it so it affected me even more and I caught lots of little things that added so much depth. The first time, I was stunned. This time really grabbed me in a new way. I think the first time, I knew it was beautiful, but I didn't know what else to think, because there it was. Finished. Now I'm beginning to "digest" it, and attempting to write about it to help articulate everything that's floating around in my mind.
It was such a fun interview. I love Seth!
Sure.
And I've noticed the same thing happening to myself. You put it well!
Thanks. I feel like it will be even truer of the next time and the third time really will be a charm. It's all a bit overwhelming, because while before there was Rent and everything else, I've been living in an absolute Rent world since Tuesday, constantly thinking about it, visualizing the movie, hearing songs in my head. Just completely submerged.

How much do I LOVE Seth? Seriously, the a-mahzing gets me laughing every. single. time.
According to another friend who saw the movie tonight, there was applause after it was over! That didn't happen with either showing I was at!
