Yes she did, and I'd recommend it for anyone interested in organic/whole food type recipes (which I am), because that's the other focus of the book. There are some other interesting tidbits as well, such as that she always fixed Adam a home-cooked dinner when he came home late from the theater. His favorite was cheese manicotti, which was no longer allowable on the allergen-free regimen, so she was very worried. His new favorite comfort foods are spaghetti with meatballs and sloppy joes. She also said they both lost weight with her new recipes, which may explain why he started getting so slim a couple of years ago.

Adam's kids Christmas morning

I don't know if this is a sensitive topic, but I thought Adam was Jewish... ? If he is and they still have a Christmas tree, that's pretty cool... I'm just curious.
Again, sorry for the dumb question, but why would Adam have to be on an allergen-free regimen? I thought it was the kids with the allergies.
A while back he said that Christmas is his favorite holiday even though he's Jewish. Emcee thinks he may be only half Jewish, so maybe his family celebrated it when he was a kid. Cybele mentions a mix of backgrounds for herself too, including Jewish, Swedish and Italian.
Cybele had to avoid all the allergenic foods while she was nursing the kids, because that's how the allergies first manifested. Lennon was getting rashes and bloody diarrhea just from her milk because of the food she was eating. Adam was the only one who could eat whatever he wanted, and cooking two different dinners for two people doesn't make a lot of sense.
Sorry, I don't have a scanner, you'll just have to buy the book!

For some reason, I feel weird about knowing those things about Adam. I haven't clicked on the picture link because I sort of feel like I'm invading. Is that unusual?
Mandi, they have to be. Look at who their parents are.
Maybe I'll just look for the book the next time I'm in Borders. I need to see Adam with a baby carrier.
Nia, I admire your sensibilities without having the will power to share them. On the other hand, Adam emailed his fans about this book, so must have been okay with the personal stuff she put in it.
The link is to a blog Cybele started for the cookbook. I've looked at it before, so don't feel particularly weird. She talks with other parents who have the same problem. This has obviously been a huge issue in their life.

Ah, okay. I see. And yes, his kids are adorable!
Nia, I'd normally feel a bit weird, but considering Cybele herself posted it for everyone to see, I don't think it's invading in the slightest.

Thanks guys. I guess if I have the capacity to feel weird about such things, it's the sign of a sane fandom, right?
It sounds like the allergy thing was quite a mess. I don't think I ever want to have kids. Speaking of which, where is Miss Elphie? She once said she wanted a baby and then wandered off; I want to hear the rest of that story.
aww Adam's kids are adorable love his resolution heh
I kind of wish he hadn't seen something that necessitated making the resolution.
The boys both have his chin and eyebrows, I think.

His kids are so cute.
I don't really mind knowing all of this stuff about him - it just makes it that much easier for me to not "put him on a pedastal". It's very easy for fans to get carried away sometimes - like some of those people on IMDB, and I think if they saw him as more of a human being, they might not be so crazy.
Chloe - It makes me wonder what he's read. Or maybe he hasn't read anything, maybe he's just heard stories..

::feels slightly guilty for tempting nia away from her principles::
Yeah, I wonder if he's heard stories from Anthony.
Leafing through the cookbook: "I love chopped liver. Call me crazy." It's written in a very engaging, informal style.
Awwww they're adorable. I obviously know Adam has kids, but seeing them is a bit different - and I think Monte looks more like Adam.
Also - is it weird for me to be looking at the background of the picture at their house? Look...there's a guitar.

Adam alert!!!
Someone just posted on teh main board that the Rent cast will be "interviewing each other" on Access Hollywood tonight. (It's on at 7:30 in the baltimore market, check your listings.)
It's probably the same thing that was on "TV One Access" last week since they are made by the same people, but maybe it'll be a little longer then the little snippets we saw last week. Worst case scenario, we get to watch the same thing over again. :)
*is pissed*
Access Hollywood is pre-empted here tonight!

Perhaps some of our questions will appear!
Thanks - it's nice to have one more thing to cap off my copious Rent promo tapes.
Now that I've thought about it more, seeing the three exclamation points and remembering Adam's resolution last year ("I don't need to make any resolutions, I'm already perfect") I've come to the conclusion that this year's is probably a joke too.
Ha. After last years, I hope this would be a bit of a joke as well.
hmmm ... if it's a joke - then maybe Emcee *is* Adam She's the only one we know that loves Adam as much as Adam loves Adam
I think she might love Adam MORE than Adam loves Adam. Wait - is that possible? I kid, I kid .

Lol, wouldn't it be funny if Em juat came on here and was like guys, I'm Adam. Lol, I know I'd hide under a rock for a little while.
Well, Miss Nia, what exactly do you want to know? There's not really much of a story, but feel free to ask any questions you please about my wanting a baby.
