Happy new year to everyone! Chloe, I'm really sorry to hear about your cat. I've never been a big pet person, but I understand the attachment a owner has to his or her pet. Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better about it, though.

I used to work at an animal shelter, and we had to deal with a lot of illness and death because of the way the animals caught things from each other in that type of setting. I can't imagine having to deal with it in terms of my own pet. I had a hard enough time giving one away.

His name's Rory and he's a cockatiel (the ones with the orange cheeks and frilly hair that sticks straight up). He talks and whistles and sometime he just doesn't shut up.
