siamese dream - Tt is! I sometimes wish people still got around on horseback, even though a car is very much a necessity for me.

That's terrible, Emcee. You should start kickboxing or something so you can send it right back at him.

I think I've mentioned my dislike of iPods enough times in this thread, but princesskatt, that's exactly what happened to me. I even got a refurbished one from Apple and that one had the exact same problem. Grrr. The Nanos are supposed to be a lot better, though.

Hah, "Happy New Year" from Rent is playing right now... totally unintentionally. I haven't listened to the OBCR forever.

The Nano is so cute.

Happy New Year's been stuck in my head all day.

I just plugged it into the wall and still nothing. This f**king sucks - I've never had any trouble with it before and it was working just fine earlier today.

On the bright side, while rummaging through my brother's room to find the wall charger, I noticed that School Of Rock was in his DVD collection. I figure since he's spending the night at a friend's house, he won't mind if I borrow it, right? Adam's Slow Lovin'

Heh, siamese. I was actually planning to listen to that song at midnight, but my poor comatose iPod doesn't seem to be going along with that plan.

My computer wasn't recognizing my ipod a couple of months ago. I went to the Apple store and bought a firewire adapter, and now as long as I plug in the cable through the adapter, everything works.

Adam's Slow Lovin'

Hey everyone checking in, def seems to be a better day than yesterday.

We did our secret Chanukah Harry/Santa exchange...my cousin got me a bway calendar(and Wicked my perhaps fav show is my b-day month!), and a couple of DVDs of old movie musical classics that I never heard of, but suppose i'll like...some Fred Astaire stuff and also a biography of Jerome Kern.

We were playing Uno Attack w/ my little cousins, I never won. Adam's Slow Lovin' The kids love my kitty, especially the youngest she's 2 and was like Mikey come out or Manda go get him and hi Mikey...soo cute. Most of the cousins staying than expected, fun times, we're all singing We Are The Champions now, watching the Giants win, I don't feel terrible, fun times. Playng more adult games later on when the kids leave.

Above is my kitty and my doggy we had to put to sleep

Not so good.

I think I might fall apart. I've been hit too hard over the past few days.

You?

*offers tape* That's unfortunate.

I'm okay. A bit tired. And,a bit stressed because I have to finish my applications tomorrow, but other than that, I'm generally okay. My dad's birthday (he's 60!) was today, so we had a big party.

Look at it this way: In twenty-four hours, you are free of applications.

Thanks for the sympathy. It's been a very trying week.

What did you get your dad? Mine ALWAYS guessed his gifts. It's impossible to suprise him.

Happy New Year(for real) everyone!

Surprisingly I didn't have Happy New Year in my head but as we watched Dick Clark in Times Square I couldn't help but think about how Roger only spent one New Year's in Times Square and thinks it's enough. One-track mind.

My little cousins, including one who's 2 1/2 ended up staying till midnight, she was going around screaming Happy new Year, it was soo cute. Our last couple of New Year's have been okay but not wonderful, last year we saw Meet the Fockers which I didn't love, there was one year we were all miserable, but this was one of the better ones we've had, so here's to a good year to all!

I've been counting down the hours, believe me!

It seems like we've all had not-so-great weeks. Anything I can do to help?

My sister and I got my dad a book he wanted. *Very* exciting.

Well, good for him.

No, there's nothing anyone can really do... but thanks for caring. It means a lot to me.

Will anyone else be around later tonight; do either of you know?

5...4...3...Open Sesame!

You are very welcome. 5...4...3...Open Sesame!

I'd imagine a few people will be on later, once they get back from their respective get-togethers. I don't know any specific people, though.

I hope everyone is safe. New Year's Eve always worries me. Did you just hang out with your family tonight, Elphie?

5...4...3...Open Sesame!

I hope so, too!

I was at my house all night, but we had lots of people for my dad's party. The last person left at about 11, then it was just my family, my aunt, and my godfather.
How about you?
