Scroll down. Compared to Cincinatti, going to this is so fully-baked. I have friends at schools in Boston that I should visit, and I can get from here to there REALLY cheaply on the Chinatown bus. Why are they testing me like this?

And he's not only performing, but it's an evening with Adam Pascal. I wonder what that means. *is excited that Adam's doing something and for anyone who will be able to go!!!*
Ahh, reading. I have to admit, I often go to the bookstore right before a boring class and buy something that looks interesting from the remainders table to read during class. I know that's bad, but I wouldn't really be paying attention in the class anyway and it's a great chance to read a book without having the computer around to distract me.
Oooh, Boston. *searches for excuse to go visit high school friend who goes to BU*

Well, I don't know. She had a huge party last year that I made a special trip to go home for even though I had way too much work. I thought maybe she would go with me, but if I can stay with my friends it's cheaper -- and I'll be damned if MY MOTHER wants to spend her birthday seeing Adam Pascal. For all I know it might be during my midterms, alas.
yeah, Allie ... it sucks.
I think the letter is a good idea ... It is sad that it might not win awards, but when I think of all the movies that are "classics" in the sense that we've all seen them and love them and picture them as important pieces of our lives ... it gets sad in general. Sure, I liked Million Dollar Baby and it won awards, but it sure isn't a movie that I will wear out like Dirty Dancing, Wayne's World, Cutting Edge, Center Stage, the disney movies, etc. (Hmm, I'm kind of dating myself with that list!)

Em -- oh, I see. My mother's never really been one to throw huge parties for her birthday (or my birthday, for that matter), so that's why I didn't see the birthday as a real potential problem. Well, good luck figuring everything out!
Does anyone know of any scheduled shows for Adam in late 2006?
Well, last year was her 50th, so she wanted a party. We're in a rather big fight right now, but in the long run, she knows that Adam is embarassingly important to me. Maybe I'll stop home first and go from home to Boston, since the show is late that night.
While we're on the subject of mothers and birthdays, my mom's birthday is today and she's busy being pissed off that certain relatives and family friends forgot to call and wish her a happy birthday or send a card (my mom is slightly obsessed with cards, and no matter how nice a gift someone gives her, if they forget to put a card with it, they're on the sh*t list big-time. I learned this the hard way a few years ago.) Strangely enough, she likes to get all of the birthday hoopla out of the way before her actual birthday so she doesn't have to spend that day worrying if people will acknowledge it.
My mom's birthday is the day after the DVD comes out. She doesn't like having birthdays, so we usually just do quiet things, I think she enjoys that but she doesn't want to say anything about it. My dad on the otherhand, likes to party. It was his 50th on Halloween and we threw a surprise party for him, he complained the whole week leading up to it because we weren't doing anything for him.

My mom's birthday is 5 days after I go back to school. I had lunch with my grandparents today and my grandma got on my case about me not being able to be there. What, was she expecting me to fly home after 4 days back at school? Or just skip the first week of classes?
I would so go there, but I feel like I'm not a big enough Adam fan yet to justify the 20 hour bus ride to Boston from Syracuse. I have 2 months to work on it though
Ooh, this is exciting. I have two good friends at BU--sure I could stay w/ one. Granted, neither of them would care the least bit about Adam. Ooh, but my friend I'm seeing tonight goes to Brandeis and loves him, I'll mention it to her. I could drive up for the weekend. Maybe if some people who live in or near the city/suburbia can get to me, we could do some carpooling--beneficial for everyone including me--company and less money spent on gas
Well, if I go I'm not driving. I don't have my own car.

Hah! Sounds like my mom. She saves every single card I've ever given her.
I wish I didn't live in the miiidddwest.
I can't figure out the time, but it's about 550 miles away from me.
I go to Boston fairly often; it's really close to home. This isn't so half-baked.
