"Hah! I have this cycle of sorts that I'm constantly subjecting myself to during my online time consisting of checking various message boards including this one, CB/IMDB (for whatever reason), and forums for other fandoms. I also compulsively check my LJ friends page. I'm constantly loading these pages."
I know EXACTLY what you mean, although I've seriously gotten away from my cycle over winter vacation. Which is kinda bad, considering I'm a moderator at some of the message boards I haven't checked in a while.
"I personally think it's awesome (as long as one uses common sense, of course), but I know for a fact that my parents would chastise me if they found I out I post on message boards, much less meeting someone from them."
Same here. If my parents knew that I've met 3 people from message boards, or that I've had message board friends mail stuff to my dorm, I would be in deep s**t.
"There was this one time an alarm went off - it was in the middle of '24.' That's just wrong. Everyone knows everyone was watching '24' at that time."
