Oh, man, I was
such a freaking anime fan. Not so much anymore; I was an 'old skooler' years ago. But... ... Wow. If you think the RENT fandom is bad, you should see rabid anime fans.
Trust me, I went to the Otakon anime convention five years in a row. They're
nuts.
Nia, I'll IM you with details, but I was a HUMONGOUS
SLAYERS fan (I saw all 78 episodes, plus the OVAs and the movies, AND I read novel summaries and manga pages--I'm currently buying the English translations of the novels). I also like
Trigun (more the manga than the anime; the last four episodes pissed me off. I like Nicholas Dokonokuminomjawaresumikini****erokakora Wolfwood, damnit, and he doesn't die in the manga),
Cowboy Bebop,
Hellsing,
Chobits, *gives up on the bolding* ... Full Metal Alchemist, Excel Saga, Great Teacher Onizuka, some Gravitation, both Vampire Hunter D movies and the novels, Shaman King, One Piece, X, Fushigi Yuugi, Ayashi no Ceres, Bleach (a few years back), Pet Shop of Horrors, a LITTLE BIT of Card Captor Sakura, The Vision of Escaflowne, Weiss Kreuz, Naruto... a few episodes of Fruits Basket... Um...
...Yeah, That's about what I can remember. I used to be a DBZ fan way back when with Sailor Moon, but then I realized it sucked. I saw a little bit of DiGi Charat, too...
...erm...
Now that I've fully embarassed myself, I really have fallen out of the fandom. I don't really like anything new that's been hitting the shelves, and I feel really behind. I used to download episodes a day after they aired in Japan, and now... Well, just no. I'm not very interested anymore.
I'm sure I forgot some series, so if you have anything you're into, ask me about it. I'm sure I know SOMETHING...
Back to your regularly scheduled thread. Heh.
