I'm an idiot who owns that movie... and bought it the DAY it came out. I got home from school and was like "MOM! SCHOOL OF ROCK. NOW!!!" since I didn't have my license yet.
Well done, QM.

QM - is an idiot too who owns EVERTHING Adam can be seen on or heard on
Yes! It's such a cute, fun movie!!

Oh, yay! I'm totally renting that over the weekend!
You won't be sorry. Just be prepared for a bit of a shock over the mullet. By the way, Adam's voice is the first thing you hear in the movie.

And I definetly giggled out loud when I heard it. He sounds great. I hoped that the soundtrack might've gotten him some attention, but alas, it did not... you should read the amazon.com reviews though- some of the people are huge Adam nuts. In a bad way.

The very first thing? That's awesome! And I can't wait to see the mullet.
I saw those reviews... and got scared.
And yes. I was so excited to hear his voice. That was when I was on my REALLY long Adam hiatus, between AIDA round one and Cabaret.
The mullet- they REALLY try to make him look bad. And just about succeed, hard as that might be.
Reviews of the movie or the soundtrack? By "bad way" do you mean fangirlish nonsense?

Chloe, if you think WE'RE fangirls, you won't believe these people are real.
Adam does not look good in the mullet. It's just not possible.
The mullet was comical, but it actually didn't bother me too much. I did think the fact that his character looks so different in the beginning vs. the end of the movie was a problem. I bet many people missed the connection.
NTG asked me to post this for her, since she can't log in right now:

'Adam does not look good in the mullet'
And not in tight leather pants either. *huffs*

QM, we're just going to have to differ...
What's worse, mullet or leather pants?
Ok, that's one point to you, nia.

I just had an argument with a friend who said that Hugh Jackman was in Wicked. "No, he wasn't." "YES, he was..." "Uhm, The Boy From Oz maybe." "Well, same story!"
I'd say mullet is worse...

Allie, I don't even know what to say to that.
The mullet definitely loses.
*thinks of Adam's HS yearbook photo*

Oh, that yearbook photo... I forgot about that!
*giggles*
QM just conceded a point??!? *faints*
It's a historical day!

That yearbook photo does not exist.
Not at all.
*tries to revive amasis*
Come back! QM, come over here and snark to show her you're still you.
NTG, dark stuff, and so well written.
There are so many versions of SoR out now (videotape, various DVD's, CD) that I couldn't find the rabid fan reviews you were talking about. Oh well, something to look forward to! Must go for now. Good night everyone!
