Yeah, I do. The others I listed are far better, but yes.

Angels in America is brilliantly insightful, thoughtful and witty. *bows down to The Playwright* I am not worthy of typing his name.
Escaped another family function, whoo!
The deer-head people? I have some of those in my family too, so I know how you feel.

Yep, Chloe. They're all off at my other relative's house. I begged off on illness and work. Which I really, really need to do. My mother also knows that I really don't click well with my cousin close to my age and we've had a few problems, so she doesn't always make me spend time with her.
I'm glad your mother is understanding. I'm kind of the black sheep in my family - practically everyone else is a Christian fundamentalist.

*raises hand* I'm a Christian, just more liberal, less fanatical and less judgmental than the usual stereotypes. Do you not get along with your family?
*pries self off bww*
Yes, Nia, I would say you're *definitely* more liberal than the stereotype. I get along with most of my family fine, but don't see them much. They live in other parts of the country. They're really pretty nice, but I get the feeling that they find me a little worrisome or something.

Oh Chloe, life would be boring without stirring up a little worry among the family.
Wow, I was gone for all of ten minutes.
nia, your prying isn't really working very well.
Oh, by the way, you should read this play I just finished. You'd probably like it.

It's the metaphorical superglue of this website, Emcee.
I might read that if I can find it.
Shouldn't be too tough to find.
*peels glue*
It's so fun to be not doing my taxes some more. One of Cybele Pascal's plays is being done in Stamford in a couple of weeks - it's a staged reading.
Stamford article
It's funny. I've never heard of anyone who's seen/read any of her work. I'd be interested, anyway. Thanks, Chloe!
There was a mentoring program a few years back which I saw, and Cybele Pascal's play was part of it. Marsha Norman ('Night Mother) was her mentor, I believe. It was called 'the Allegory of Painting'.
You're welcome. There have been several productions or readings of her work in little theaters around the city and tristate area, and she was mentored by Marsha Norman on one project. Some of her other plays are "The Erotic Nature of Funerals," "Three Times a Lady," and "The Allegory of Painting." Interesting sounding titles, aren't they?
argh. I wish I'd seen 'Night Mother. Everyone I know who did loved it, I think.
Those are... interesting titles. I guess they both have a way with words, huh?

Chloe, how did you find that?
Thoughts on 'The Allegory of Painting', amasis?
Because she's our favorite googler, nia!
Well you know I love to google. I got all that tonight simply by googling her name.
ETA: I saw the first Broadway production of 'Night, Mother and enjoyed it very much, as I recall.
