Over the past three hours? Editing all and three new pages. *headdesk*
Three pages isn't so bad! I wrote two reviews. I have four more to do. *le sigh*
To tell the truth, nia, it's been a while and I can't say I remember much of it, other than the basic story. I do remember there was one work in that mentoring program that I really, really liked, and that was the one David Henry Hwang mentored. But I can't remember what it's called now.
I've only read 'Night Mother, but even as printed work it's very powerful.
ETA: Looked it up. "Blood Orange" by David Wiener.

What's the paper you're doing?
*is sososo happy not to have homework anymore - even taxes are better*
Didn't David Henry Hwang write the book for AIDA?!
He was one of the writers brought in after the Atlanta production, Emcee, although you can hardly say that was his best work.
He wrote the brilliant "M. Butterfly", among other things.

Emcee, shouldn't you know that off the top of your head? Now you have to wait for Chloe to google it for you.
It's not a paper, it's an application for a writing camp I want to attend this summer. I have to write a piece of fiction under twenty pages. Those are my only requirements. And I should have sent the thing in a long time ago.
Thanks anyway, amasis.
MM2, do you have a point to make?
Yes, he was one of the people who came in for the Chicago version.
Amasis, are you saying you saw "The Allegory of Painting" somewhere?

I think it's obvious that I DON'T
I just wasn't 100% sure, nia. I hate being wrong.
Marilyn, if I were you, I'd make a bee-line for somewhere that's not here.

MM2, why are you posting? I'd really love to hear, I just don't understand the minds of morons. Let me pick your brain. Explain this harassment.
It was a reading for that mentoring program I mentioned on the previous page, Chloe. I think this was 3 or 4 years ago?
Emcee - check out M. Butterfly sometime. It's great. On a side note, when I went to see Heather's last performance in AIDA, DHH was there. I really wanted to talk to him but ended up being too shy. Oh, well.

I think I should make "I wanted to talk to him/her but ended up being too shy" my motto. I keep seeing Schele Williams, and I can't say anything to her. I had the opportunity to talk to Tony Kushner and I chickened out like you wouldn't believe.
Marilyn, please do tell us what it's like to be so... I can't find a word.
Whoops! I totally missed that post, amasis! Otherwise I wouldn't have mentioned that title as if you hadn't already brought it up. Too bad you can't remember more about it.

Emcee, Mr. Kushner was surrounded by many other brilliant and intimidating figures at the time, so that one is excused. I bet Schele would like to be recognized, though, as long as you're not scary.
I'm definitley not scary. I know she probably would've been flattered, but I'd have just flailed and said something stupid.

I'm posting because I love broadway like everyone else here, and I'm sorry if you hate me for it!
No, we hate you because you're posting useless sh*t, and you're offending everyone on this board.
I know flailing and saying stupid things feels very uncomfortable, but performers are probably used to it. Anyway, she seems like an interesting person. Hasn't she gotten into directing lately?

Emcee, we have our answer. MM is too dumb to know any better.
I meant don't be a muppet. I bet she'd like a little recognition, as long as it's sane.
Ignoring her might work better. Just a thought. Updated On: 4/9/05 at 11:12 PM
Yeah, Chloe. I think she directed or produced some concerts... the specific ones have slipped my mind, though. *flails*
