Posted: 4/9/05 at 11:49pmOoh yaay for Dear Frankie, did you see Gerry in the awesome black leather jacket?? Well that's double whammy for you missy, you obviously didn't try hard enough to keep your thread afloat like I do :-P Gerry's still more mine than yours.

#104I'm back.
Posted: 4/15/05 at 9:14pm*sigh* i just saw phantom again. yummy. that's all i have to say. and that leno interview last night? HILARIOUS! i was hysterical! "and there i was with under the dryer trying to dry my kilt, my butt in full view, people walking in and out..." good god i wish i was there!
#105I'm back.

Here's my response about Gerry on Leno last night:
But ahhh...Gerry in a kilt....mmmmmm...Gerry in a kilt at our wending....even yummier, come on Dol, not that I know if you're gonna watch this since it's yet to air in Hawaii, but if Gerry was in a kilt for the chance that he would have more difficulty with it again, even you would come. Mmmm. I'll also convert to Catholicism if necessary for our wedding.
Gerry in the fashion show...ahh. Even pink looks good on him. Such a personality, and he certainly does have a fanclub, god were they screaming for him. Ooh, and I hope his new movie comes here, they showed a locker room scene, much more chance for shirtless times in this one than in Dear Frankie. And once again, he hides his accent wonderfully.
Finally, I never thought I'd say this but I'd give anything to be Tom Arnold a couple hours ago...Gerry: "Wow, Tom Arnold just patted my butt." Lucky, lucky, and I just watched him come on the end, and the clothes look really good on him. And ooh, they showed him telling his story where he was moving and shaking his ass....mmmmm. He needs to be on more talk shows. In the city. Or in my bedroom, that works.

Posted: 4/16/05 at 1:32amOn another note, I had a my first real dream ever about Gerry. Not perfect, but I was watching a premiere of one of his movies. And I met him before the movie and told him how much I loved him and asked to hug him and he agreed. Then after the movie I told him how wonderful he was, what an amazing actor he was, etc. He was so happy to receive such compliments, he gave me another hug haha but this time his shirt was kinda up a little so I was basically hugging his stomach which was really sweaty. it felt really good. Okay, done.

Nice dream wickedrentq. Very interesting. I can't remember the last celebrity who was in my dreams. I'd have to think about that one.
I'm going to look for that book you recommended awhile back. Just have to remember the title.
I'm really tired from last night. My boyfriend and I saw Miss Saigon together and loved it. Lots of fun and worth being really tired at school for. Heheheheh. And going back on Saturday. Long story of how we get to go twice. The male lead is f***ing amazing though. Incredible. Well the whole thing is incredible.
Okay back to Gerry and...
Bump!

Posted: 4/19/05 at 10:53amAww yaay Racetrack for never letting the thread die, haha. The book is "Phantom" by Susan Kay. And no, no Gerry dreams lately, usually my dreams are just really, really weird, and I'm not that lucky to have such nice dreams. And in Miss Saigon, are you referring to the engineer or Chris? I saw the nonequity tour and looved the Engineer but wasn't crazy about Chris. Hmm, we should figure out when Gerry's next movie is coming out. I can't wait.

You didn't see the same production because most of the people in the production my boyfriend and I saw was mostly local based actors. I was referring to Louis Hobson who plays Chris. He was wonderful. Everyone was really good and wonderful. I was never a big fan of the Engineer but after seeing Raul Aranas play him he made me like the character a lot more. It was really good. I cried.
Thanks for the book title again. I'll have to go look for it now.
Who was in the production of Miss Saigon you saw?

Hey!
Had a pretty good day. Just finishing off some homework. Ugh have to go do a collage for Drama class about my character from the monologue I'm doing. Ugh! Dumb idea.
Talk to you later.

I saw the nonequity tour with Jennifer Paz as Kim. The engineer was...Johann Michael Camet, he was awesome.
Yes, definitley look for the book, especially when you imagine Gerry as Erik...
On a more slightly related Gerry note haha, do we know when his next movie is coming out, the soccer one?

Ah yeah I thought I would see Jennifer Paz, but I saw it with Emy Baysic as Kim. She was really great to watch and the person playing John was also from out of town, but the rest of the cast is from around this area. Really awesome production.
I have no idea when his next movie is coming out.

Posted: 4/21/05 at 6:58pmHappy Thursday! Only one more day until the weekend and then a small break. Whoohoo!
#115Gerry Dream
Posted: 4/22/05 at 2:23amSo in the past couple days, I've recently seen/past an actress on All My Children(rode subway with her), I'm pretty sure the guy who played the professor in the Little Women movie(at a show) and just passed Ashley Olsen walking down the street...well, maybe I can pool my luck and pretty soon I'll see Gerry! Though the odds of me actually being able to speak are slim...hmmm...maybe I should practice.

That's true about meeting him, but maybe some practice'll do you good? I don't know. I just assume that the probability is pretty slim so my chances are not great at all. But one can only dream, right?
That's cool about seeing those people. Lots of fun. I've actually only met one famous person in my life, but I can barely remember it because I was about four years old. Still lots of fun.

I think it would depend on the situation. If it was something like walking past him on the street like what happened with Ashley, chances are pretty slim I'd be able to talk. First it would take me a bit to register, by then he'd have past me and then he'd be walking further away if I thought of anything, so the only chance I'd have is to chase him and ask for a pic, and that would depend on my mood and guts at the moment.
If it was something like he was there waiting for the subway and rode the subway with me, or something more still, I would have time to formulate things to say and would probably be able to talk to him. That is if I could breathe staring into his eyes.
And nothing wrong with dreaming. Actually, when I was 7 I would have looved and dreamt to pass Ashley Olsen on the street. Guess dreams change though, oh well.

I agree. It would be cool if that happened though.
When I was younger I wanted to meet Ringo Starr(loved the Beatles immensely when I was about four or five years old). I still like them. But dreams do change because I don't have that old dream of mine of wanting to meet Ringo Starr anymore so there you go.
Sorry I'm a bit hyper because I leave in about an hour for my boyfriend's house and officially meet his parents before going to Miss Saigon again. They're driving and I was an emotional mess awhile ago because it's stressing me out. I'll just attempt to not have verbal diaherra(how do you spell that?) in front of them.

I refuse to let this thread die! It's too fun to die. So here's a bump.
Hope everyone had a good weekend and had fun.

Hahaha, sorry about not posting, been a bit lately, passover and other family events.
Anywayz, about "Phantom," it is understandably expensive on Amazon, did you check libraries? Again, where I got mine. The book I believe was released in 1988, so I'd suggest trying to go for a slightly order but not ancient library.
In other Gerry news, I bought Finding Neverland and there's a preview for Dear Frankie on it. Kinda odd, I mean they both are family films dealing with kids and adults who have great qualities to them and a Scottish main character but hey no complaining. There were little snippets of Gerry in the leather jacket, very exciting. My mom happily watched the preview with me and wanted to see it before, but now she really wants to see it and is very upset it's not playing here. She says it's playing in Conneticut, which is a good hour from here, don't know if she'll make that journey.

It's okay. No worries about not posting. Completely understandable. I was very nervous yesterday for having to meet my boyfriend's parents. I mean we're not getting married or anything and it was kind of like that feeling. Hell we're not even out of highschool yet. Oh well. Lol.
But I was happy because we got to see Miss Saigon again yesterday and loved it. Still cried even though I knew what was going to happen. Bui Doi always gets to me. Especially onstage it got to me. In a good way though.
I love Finding Neverland and was excited when the preview for Dear Frankie came on. My aunt thought it was weird that I was excited about something I hadn't seen, but then I explained it and she kind of understood. Still kind of funny. Can't wait to see it.

Yeah, when I saw Saigon the second time, I of course didn't completely bawl like the first(did I mention I think I cried more for that show than any work of fiction-show, TV show, movie, book EVER?) but a couple moments certainly got to me...Bui Doi, flashback, end.
Oh, you'd love Dear Frankie! They actually did a fairly decent job with the preview, capturing the movie. Like I said, it's a little weird getting to used to all the Scottish accents at the beginning, and a long wait for Gerry to make an appearance(nearly an hour...hrmph), but it's still so great. And if you slow it down a bit, you can clearly see how great he looks in the leather jacket, yay!

No you didn't mention that you cried more for this than any other piece of fiction. It's an incredible piece. When you can get the perfect cast everything about it can be so profound. I think part of the reason I cried both times is because the man playing Chris was so wonderful it truly seemed like he was in love with Kim and he was so heart broken when she died. Also he has a wonderful voice which made it an even more enjoyable experience and fun to watch. Very powerful vocally.
Just wonderful in general.
I'm sure I'll like Dear Frankie when I see it just because it looks wonderful. I don't care if I have to wait a long time for Gerry. In the end it's probably worth it and a great movie to watch. I'm still trying to get through Harrison's Flowers. Really sad movie, but really good. If you like Adrien Brody he's in that too and good.

Posted: 5/2/05 at 8:11pmPOTO tomorrow! I'm so happy that it's coming tomorrow! Whoohoo! Happy. So all through sixth period tomorrow I'm just going to want to get home and watch it. Of course have to do some study for my AP Spanish exam for Wednesday, but that's okay. So yay.
