Ulgh, bad obsession! I'm really tired and I have classes tomorrow(eww) but I cannot go to bed without posting some details of my day here.

Very fun day that was almost entirely-non DRS related(odd but then I realized there was a teensy bit of DRS in there...)

Let's see, my friend won Rent lotto, so I got to see Will Chase, who was of course amazing(also saw him in Secret Garden concert, couldn't believe it was same person--same thing I love about Rachel York, def a big fan of his now) and ya know Rent is great, could say more but too tired.

Hung out w/ friends at Marymount, then headed over to Sweeney's actor's fund performance. Show was amazing as usual, first time I saw it I was front row side watching the instruments, this time I was cheaply in the back, watching more of the show looking at the instruments ever so often. But yeah, they still amaze me.

Told Sweeney actor stage door stories on the Sweeney stage dooring thread if you wanna read those, but now the funner part, other people.

Intermission I saw..well chatted a bit w/ standbyes who snuck down before the second act, then I saw Maria Friedman who I saw like 2 more times, and Gary Beach in the refreshment...err, room.

And ULGH! once again stupid ladies make me sit. I told myself after DRS I would curse them out but then the moment comes and I just...don't wanna make a big deal about it during the actors well deserved curtain call...but ulgh, it's so disrespectful to them...I stood for Diana, the clarinetist, lotsa ppl were standing, I was in the third to last row in the back and they tell me to sit. I shouldn't have given in, but the level of disrespect they shows the actors actually brought a tear to my eye. Ulgh. At an actor's fund performance for god sakes!

But yeah anyway...on the way out...I saw Maria again...and ppl who I couldn't place that were frustrating me...lotsa those...then saw lots more at the stage door but also some I recognized which amde for amusing stories. Like I said in the main board thread, everyone used my sharpie so that's when we started talking, and one guy across the way gave us all an altoid..he explained he's from the South, I was like ohh...that's why, NYers aren't such great sharers lol. so lots more ppl I was much closer to placing that's pissing me off. Oh for a while we watched umm OMG...okay it looked like Matthew Lawrence but he seemed really short so I thought maybe it was Andrew...but I'm googling images and OMG I think it was Matthew...wow...he's pretty short. Oh wow, it was Matthew, that's so cool! Anyway, he was w/ this taller guy who I referred to as the "tall guy" who is sooo familiar and it's driving me crazy that I can't place him. Ulgh.

So yeah lots more actors came out that I can even see them in a movie or a show...but I can't figure out which movie/show and who they are. Ulgh. They should wear nametags at these things.

But a couple we did recognize..Nathan Lane(very amusing, he just walked out and everyone just kinda stared in shock and said nothing...I know he's not nice on the Greg Jbara level so I wouldn't bother him anyway but it was cool). Sutton Foster came out and this got to be funny by some involuntary reflex as I realized who they were I kinda whispered their name...so she came out w/ Christian Borle and as they walked past me i like whispered "Sutton Foster.." and she kinda turned to look at me and I put on a ohh...smile face, if that makes fun. Same thing happened w/ Brian Stokes Mitchell, except him I think I just got the "Brian" out. Someone else recognized Bebe Newurth so she signed for us.

Better see lotsa pics from this b/c soo many ppl I can see in my head and not place them is driving me crazy...

Ooh, also saw I think the star of Jersey Boys b/c he shouted to a friend the Jersey Boys are going home, and I didn't recognize him, and when I saw it, he was out, so makes sense that it would be him and I wouldn't recognize him...

Oh and Robert Lopez seems to be everywhere and I always recognize him now, heh.

Oh yeah, finally the one DRS-related moment of the day? Patrick came out of the stage door w/ a group of ppl(so I didn't bother him). Heh.

Mommy, I don't wanna go to school tomorrow.

Ooh the surprise---I know, I know, I know! The *Official* Greg Jbara Love Thread

Hahaha, ppl on BWW know me entirely too well. Quote from one of the threads on the main board...

Me: Just wanna add that having recently stage doored, everyone in Sweeney's cast is super sweet, def one of the nicest casts on bway.

Orangeskittles: Nicer than DRS? The *Official* Greg Jbara Love Thread

Hahaha. (My response: I wouldn't go that far...)

Ooh which leads me to this snippet from an article about the playbill yearbook which was in my local paper yesterday...got I love DRS ppl!

"Then the brainstorming began.

They would need plenty of photos, and lots of names, like any good yearbook.

"We thought: 'If we're going to make it like a yearbook, who would be the lunchladies? What would be the equivalent of the principal?' "

There are plenty of backstage photos, many by department, Viagas says: "orchestra, stage crew, front-of-house staff, the people who sell you the $4 orange juice."

"But the people at 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' said 'No. We're a family. We want a shot of all of us together.'... People have told me that this photo makes them want to work on Broadway. Twenty years from now, when some of these people who have dark hair will have grey hair, they'll be able to open this up and say, 'See? I was there with John Lithgow.' "

DRS is a family The *Official* Greg Jbara Love Thread No wonder Mamie thinks they've adopted me...
