Angela and Vincent are both whack jobs, but did the judges realize that Vincent did not allow Angela to lift a finger to work on that dress??? Angela did not make a dress at all, due to Vincent's "leadership" skills. They were on her case about wanting to be the leader, when Vincent was, but hello? Vincent was the moron who hogged it all.
I thought Uli's dress should have won. It would have been more flattering than Kayne's. Robert and Kayne's dress was way too much.

Am I the only one who thought that Angela should have gone home?

BillFinn, if you get a chance, listen to Tim's blog on the Project Runway website. He went into the Vincent/Angela ordeal in great detail. There was a lot that was edited out.

A whole new season of Tim Gunn podcasts. My Tim, whispering in my ear as I walk down the street...oh my; it's almost more than I can bear.
I'm not prepared to nominate a winner, but I'll say this:
Vincent: Must go. Now. Not amusing, not interesting, just annoying, pompous and unpleasant.
Robert: Triple hottie--watching him VERY closely...(oh, and I loved the little red ribbons on the back of the 1st dress)
Malan--I think he got too much bad press too fast. A bit pretentious--whomever said that he's probably from the Midwest with that phony accent was dead right, but hey--Tina doesn't sound like she's from Nutbush any more either, and um, Madonna? Michigan?
Kayne--Sweet, talented, amazing skin. I loved the pagaent dress.
Laura--I know this girl. Not actually, but I went to Architecture school with women just like her, and her designs are SO architectural. Love her.
Jeffrey--Sure. The neck thing. I think he may be Cardassian....
It's too perfect that he's a friend of Santino's. I'm a bit mystified as to what he's really hoping to get out of this--Runway is pretty low-rent--Saturn, Elle Decor, "The Macy's Accessory Wall?????", and he's already in Harvey Nichols, but we'll see... Also, I love that his bio says he supported himself as a street hooker....THAT's hot!
Keith--I think he's evil. Andy Towle had a link this week to a blog somewhere saying that the "scandal" is about the fact that his submission portfolio had work by other designers. Don't know about that, but I know I don't trust him.

I'm watching the re-run on Bravo right now. I always like seeing what I missed the 2nd time around.

bta, I think they touched on the issue with Keith in the Road to the Runway special. He had worked under a medium-small name (not to be confused with big name) designer and while they might have had the other person's name on the label, he designed the individual looks himself.

Yes, that he is! But they like to keep those folks around for drama, you know that!

Of course. That's the only reason Wendy Pepper and Santino made it to the runway. I honestly don't mind as much about the staging aspects of the show, in comparison to many other reality shows. At least with this show, even if there *is* manipulation for purposes of good drama, they make it more believable. As much as I thought Angela should have been auf'ed and as much as Malan was starting to grow on me, unfortunately, Malan *did* have the worse dress this week, so the decision was justifiable.

You must go to the Bravo website and view Malan's exit video, it is in 3 parts. I'm going to miss him!

I really liked Malan, and I'm definitely going to miss him...
in my opinion Angela should have gone home... the show over the three seasons hasn't been very consistent on the grounds upon which they kick people out (Austin Scarlett was in nearly the same situation with his dress for the rockstar, yet the bad team-mate was kicked out)and although Santino was my favorite last season, Santino was kept on even when he made ridiculous pieces, because they were ambitious and walking art rather than Vincent and Angela's Jessica McKlintock dress...
but, I think on paper Roberrt Best is the favorite for the win, but if Jeffery allows himself to grow out of the one genre he designs for, i think he could be a threat ( I absolutely loved his gown last night, even though it was totally inappropriate for the event)

I didn't see this episode yet, but I have a fun little Runway story!
On Thursday, my brother-in-law saw Jay McCarroll (season one winner) on 7th Avenue. He stopped him to chat...said he was really funny and cool...and asked him if he would talk to my sister if he called her. He said sure. They couldn't reach her, so they left a message on her answering machine. It was hilarious!
"Hey...this is Jay from Project Runway. Just want to let you know that your husband offered me money to have sex with him (sounds of my brother-in-law laughing hysterically in the background). Um...stalker! And...awkward. So anyway honey, have a great day. Bye. Muah."

I wasn't able to get Malan's exit interview to download. It's kind of strange since I was able to hear Tim's podcast.

I had to avoid this thread for a whole day until I caught the rerun (was sitting in the airport during the first run, and they only had CNN running on the tv).
Austin Powers...errm...Malan had the worst dress. I was sad to see him go, because I think he has more talent than some of the others - just had a bad dress this time around.
I loved Laura's dress, and Uli's was very pretty too. I like Robert, Laura, Keith and Michael the best so far.
Vincent is a complete lunatic! And his 80s/Dynasty inspired designs are not very...inspired.
But Angela deserved a bit of scolding for not even bothering to sketch, and for trying to latch on to Kayne that way. Follow the assignment honey! Plus, I HATED her striped tights and miniskirt (that she was actually wearing) during the judging. The getup made her legs look like tree trunks.

Santino should have been eliminated when they had to make each other over. Cara was not happy at all with the jumpsuit he made her. The execuition was horrendible. The seams weren't even sewn on! Nick deserved to stay on longer.
But I don't hold any grudges?

I have worked with the self-righteous, passive-agressive saboteurs like Angela ("We have FIFTEEN MINUTES!")and the whiny drama queens like Vincent ("This was the worst experience of my life!!!" Oh, really.) and they leave alot to be desired.
I don't think Bradley is much of a designer, but he's kinda cuddly.

I was sooo happy to see Santino as a judge!! I had no clue! And Miss. USA looked AMAZING in the gown!
BTW, did anyone happen to catch the end of Made today on MTV? My friend told me to watch it cause the guy wanted to be made into a fashion designer and Austin Scarlet (season 1) was a judge for the show. And apparently on MTV's overdrive theres a video of the kid meeting Daniel V. from season 2.
