Surprised no one posted about the show last night. I kind of felt bad for Malan, especially when he said he wanted to prove to his mom that he was talented in the design department. I for one look forward to neurotic Vincent being eliminated.
Can't wait to see the winning gown during the Miss Universe competition on Sunday night.

A great show last night. My heart just ached for Malan -- what a sad backstory he must have.

I was definitely on Angela's side with that whole thing. Yeah, she was kind of pushy, but he basically told her to sit down and shut up and didn't let her do anything even when she asked if he needed help. That was an ugly ass dress anyway. The only thing that made it unique was the sleeves, and they didn't even look good.
I really loved the dress that won, (I adore mermaid silhouettes), but did anyone else notice that the top part was kind of unflattering? I don't know, maybe it was how the model was walking, but it looked like the sides were kind of fanning out.
Also, for some I reason I don't usually think pageant girls are pretty, but wow, that Miss USA was gorgeous. She looks kind of like Carrie Underwood, but with a longer, thinner looking face.
Oh! One more thing: Umm, why did they fake us out??? I thought someone was supposed to be kicked off, (besides the loser, obviously), or did I miss it?

To me, the current Miss USA has made a major transformation since she won a couple of months ago.
I was on Angela's side as well.

I can't wait until Vincent gets the boot! I was also on Angela's side because Vincent is just too much. His dress was ugly and so is his attitude.

thank you so much because everyone on the myspace project runway group is defending vincent. they all have something against angela. and is it just me or does angela wear some cute skirts. they match her personality very well.

It seems that all the other designers don't seem to care for her either. So obviously we're not being shown something that they've already seen.

i dont know, apparently, but i like her. i always seem to like the ppl that everyone else hates. i actually liked santino last season. he was really talented. of course i loved nick and daniel v. too but for some reason they all hated santino. he actually had talent.

I thought Angela looked embarrassingly bad in that skirt last night. Perhaps it could be carried off by a teenager.
I wasn't on either of their sides, they deserved each other!
Loved the winning dress-that fabric was stunning.

For a $300 budget and time constraint, I thought some of the gowns last night were gorgeous. That's why I can't wait to see what else they did to the winning gown.

I thought Laura and Michael's dress was exquisite. It was extremely simple, but it had a gorgeous shape and was perfectly constructed.

i love me the Gunn. i have seen him in starbucks.
why didn't angela defend herself? i don't like her either, but it seems vincent was giving her the shiv. and the "feminazi" comment was just BS. i hate the fat neck tatoo guy and i hope laura pulverizes him next week. otoh, angela had no real ideas and just seemed to bug everyone. as i recall, chloe doesn't sketch either, but she managed to convey her ideas.
vera wang?! was anne rice not available?
malan's dress was beyond the fug. who could defend such a thing? charmeuse poo. he could design for cartman.
btw, the evening gown prelim happened tuesday night and tara connor wore a red, one shouldered dress and looked just lovely (although i still wish miss california had won)

Garland Grrl, I liked Miss California, too. On one of the cable channels they did a program on this year's Miss USA pageant. It's been on several times.
Now I'm wondering if Miss USA will wear the gown from Project Runway since you mentioned she wore something else for the prelimaries.

the contest that produced this gown must have been sponsored by SWIFFER...and it's 1000's of household uses.

Sometimes they were different gowns for the preliminaries and the actual show.

I just listened to Tim's blog; it's fantastic. I especially like his disdain for Vincent. Garland Grrl, he even used the term "hot mess" to describe someone's gown.

My favorite part was when he described Malan's (?) gown as looking like his mother's fudge, then "Forgive me, Mother."
This show wouldn't be anywhere near as good without him.

I clicked on the link showing Tara wearing the gown; though the gown is gorgeous, the picture itself looks kind of fake (like she's a mannequin).
