He also reminds me a little of Christine Jorgenson, for anyone who remembers who she was!
Sorry to be late to the party--just watched my TiVod "Runway" last night.
Daniel IS sweetly anxious, and I'm glad to have him back--his recycled design was really elegant. If he will stop bowing and scraping (and I think he will) I'll be glad to have him around.
I didn't like Santino's baby-doll dress, although I appreciate the effort and craft that went into it. Same for his second design--not my style at all, but impressive. I cannot stand his personality, but in truth, it's not a personality contest. Clearly, they are editing him to be hateful.
I love Andrae--I even liked his breakdown. His eyes are so expressive and his method of expression so sincere.
Zulema is a total b**ch, and her response for her heinous ass-revealing dress ("I did the best I could with what I was given") should have gotten her kicked off. I wonder if they'll keep her around for racial balance; I'm surprised that there is only one African-American designer to start with.
Also loving Nick and Raymundo.
Glad that we don't have to sit through the choose-your-model drama every week--huge improvement.
It seemed that we were getting more of the judge's discussions--huge improvement too. And I don't know why, but Nina Garcia is more appealing to me this year--maybe because we're getting more insight to her thought process.
But enough about all that jazz--on to the real business of the show--Tim Gunn. *swoons* Oh my God, I am so in love with Tim Gunn. And he's so much more styling this year, with the all-black ensemble and the four-button suits. He is so dreamy....

Why did Tim say that they found Daniel annoying in the first season? I missed that first episode where he got cut.
Tim is a cutie.
I thought Nick's designs were good. And I think the other Daniel might surprise us.
What was the name of the gal with the Hermes scarf? Kristen? I found her incredibly annoying. As Nina said, she didn't have to cut the scarf, but she could have used it.
Zulema is worse than Wendy. (I didn't find Wendy *that* bad, and I was really getting sick of Kara Saun's holier than thou stance. But that's a different thread, LOL.) I'd like to see a shoot-off between Zulema and Santino.
Regarding the models, I found Daniel's comment interesting about wanting a different coloring in his model. Hmmm, inquiring minds want to know what was the real reason. But the blonde he ended up with looked sweet. Speaking of which, whatever became of Morgan?
anyone watch tonight?
Yes-I agree with the judges' decision. But how about that embarrassing moment when Santino thought for sure he had won, and when he didn't, you could see the disbelief on his face. Haha, he deserved that!
spoiler....
I completely disagree with the judge's decisions (although it was absolutely humiliating with Santino)
Santino's work was so much more detailed, more thought out and better crafted, I don't see how the other guy won. The winner's barbie piece was really cute, but Santino's was just above and beyond ESPECIALLY in the mere two days they had.
I also think that the lady should have been gone in the first episode... she has little skill, and really no idea of what is appealing and fashionable. Raymundo showed promise in his first garments and should've been given a second chance, especially since he actually knew how to sew unlike that other woman....
this almost reminds me of last season with Wendy and Austin.... except Raymundo has nowhere near Austin's talent...
See, I did not like Santino's dress at all (or him, for that matter). I am glad my little hottie Greek Nick won!

I was disappointed. From the previews, I expected to see the showdown between Santino and Nina this week, but I guess that doesn't happen until next week. I am all anticipation!
I also am intrigued by Santino's slam on Emmett.
I can see why they picked Nick over Santino. Santino's was beautifully made, but I think Nick's was more of a Barbie doll outfit for the teen set. The outfit that I thought was neat was Diane/Diana's, the magnet chick.
I guess the producers are encouraging the contestants to diss each other.
Back to Tim...
I am so impressed with his straightforwardness. I thought his conversation with Andre was spot on. It reminds me of his conversation with Kara Saun last season regarding her $15 designer shoes.

Gosh, you guys are making me wish my tv hadn't blown up. Will bravo.com be posting highlights of the episodes perhaps? I was so addicted to last season; it kills me not to be able to see it this time around. *sigh*
Any early postulations as to the top 3?
I really thought the woman should have gone. Raymundo had more promise than she did. Santino is obviously edited to be one of the villains this time. Last season, I think that helped Wendy get to the top three but since it was a tv show the villain would never win. With him, he could be in the top three and maybe even win on pure talent, but his arrogance will cause an issue when it is down to the last few and they have to think about who the fans of the show like best. You know that definitely comes into the play as much as not ending up with all women or gay guys or something.
I am confused by something ...I have continually heard Michael Kors has a girlfiend. Is this right---because I find this hard to believe.
i LOVE this show. tim gunn is a god. who could write a character like him? he is perfection.
nick is my favorite, but i also LOVED diana's outfit. that skirt was adorable and her use of the cut out fabric for the sleeves and hood was charming.
zulema's clothes are old lady and tired. her clothes actually resemble wendy's more than marla's. remember all of wendy's lace up dresses, etc? this is very zulema.
i think santino's dress was off for 2 reasons --the color scheme was very little-girl cotton candy cliche and the design was frou frou rather than strong and sassy. his dress was not hip enough to be barbie. emmett's dress was very barbie "groovy" and i would have scored it higher than santino's. daniel f's dress was far too sedate and mature for barbie.
i can't wait for santino to have it out with nina garcia. that should be a hoot. michael is a great reality bitch but i don't care for him as a designer.
CARRY ON.

Could Santino be any more of a blowhard? He is so full of himself. He is good, but he's not as good as he thinks he is.
Michael Korrs is gayer than gay. Any girlfriend he has is merely a shopping partner.
I love Tim Gunn.
This season is as good as, if not better, than last season. Such a great show. I even watch the repeats.

That Andrea guy is getting really annoying. I thought his pumpkin outfit was the worst thing I've ever seen.
And Santino's remarks are getting on my nerves too. He thinks he's just too damn good.
"They just didn't want to give me two in a row." Or three, right?
Didn't they say they'd be selling the winning Barbie?

Yeah... but I don't know when or where.
And I've got a slight crush on Tim. If he was British, he'd be Aaron Lightner.
Anyway, I kinda miss Jay and Kara..
Heidi seems more animated this year--but her reaction when Andrae was melting down was sort of detached amusement, which was priceless in itself. I think Chloe is the dark horse here.
All the judges seem far more life-like this year; the improvements since season 1 are substantial--this show is great.
How much love mail do you suppose my Tim gets every week? Once we're married, I guess I'll have to screeen his letters...
I'm ready for Santino to be out. Who watched tonight?
I really liked Santino in the first ep but now he's just a tool. Could he BE any more of a d*ck?

OMG i was so praying it was gonna be santino. His talent, while larger than most on the show, doesn't match his own opinion of his talent.

I Love Santino. If he goes, I may stop watching the show. I also love Andre and the guy who won for the Barbie Doll challenge. I was very sorry to see the Hispanic guy leave -- his Barbie outfit wasn't good but he has more talent than the woman he kept.
