Just seeing Laura's kids run around last night exhausted me!! I don't know what I was doing, but I missed Jeffrey's line, so I'm going to have to watch a rerun of this episode (something I was probably going to do anyway).
I loved watching the story of Uli's background.

I missed Uli's background story. I will have to catch that on the rerun.
LOVE Laura's line. Really like Jeffrey's. Like Uli's. Michael's is disappointing; it's more just "not my style" than downright bad, but it's a little blingy and I'm not sure how well that will go over on the runway.
The allegation - well, seems a little bold. But at least Laura told Jeffrey what she told Tim. And don;t forget, while Laura brought this up, Michael was on board 100%.
If there is truth to it and it is proven, AND it is against the rules, he deserves to be disqualified. Otherwise, it's fair game.
I really liked hearing about everyone's background and/or seeing what their homes were like. Tim Gunn just makes the world a little better a place, I think. It was ADORABLE how genuinely excited he was about dinner with Michael's family, and "Ew! I draw the line at turtle poop." (while running away) was hilarious.
I heard someone mention that in past years they were allowed to have help with construction if they paid for it out of their alotted budget? I haven't been watching that long, so I have no idea whether that's true.

I think there are guidelines as to what you can and can't have sent out. Jay McCarroll and Kara had some stuff hand-done. Jeffreys'sending the shorts out to be pleated seemed to fit within the rules. It depends. I would like to know exactly what the rules are.
Please please PLEASE let Jeffrey not have cheated! I hated him for most of the season, but his collection is the only one that I find consistently inspiring. I like pieces in the other's collection, but Jeffrey's feels the most cohesive. I want that baby doll dress and the striped dress with zippers RIGHT NOW! And the matching purse. And blazer.
A note--in the pictures from Fashion Week, none of Jeff's models are wearing those stupid wigs. In his People.com column, Nick from Season 2 compared them to the wigs in last season's Barbie challenge. I concur.
If anything, if he used those wigs, I think it definitely would have been a distraction. They were just plain ugly and unnecessary
According to Tim on his podcast, Laura's husband is a well known and respected architect, who owns one of the largest architectural firms in the country.
Ahhh, glad you reminded me, Dottie-I didn't buy it when Laura was complaining that she didn't have enough money to create the garments she wanted to.
Please-did you see the size of that Manhattan loft?
"According to Tim on his podcast, Laura's husband is a well known and respected architect, who owns one of the largest architectural firms in the country."
...and looks like Albert Einstein.
Jane2, I thought the same thing. Plus, no one I know, can afford to have that many kids, let alone that many kids and live in NYC!! After hearing Tim's podcast, I'm kind of surprised her husband hasn't financed her line. She's obviously talented enough.
Tim ended his podcast with: Next week, the finale, and we have loads of surprises.
Oh, definitely! If he owns one of the largest architectural firms in the country, then that loft is only her workspace, LOL! He's got to be a billioinaire. I have no idea why she was crying poverty.
She has a pumpkin head something like your av, Dottie! oops, did I say that?
Jane2, because of her red hair, or just in general? I'm wondering if her pregnancy has anything to do with it.
I didn't get the crying poverty routine either. Even if I hadn't heard what her husband did for a living, my first reaction was, "look at the place she's living in!!!"
To quote Ms. Bennett--those wigs were some serious ugly.
Will win: Jeffrey
Want to win: Michael
Remember that NOONE predicted Chloe to win last year...it was the walks down the runway that cinched it for her, and her no bs attitude, I believe.
It aint over till the fat lady (Laura) sings!
I have to say that I LOVE Jeffrey, so I really hope he didn't cheat. That would be majorly disappointing.
My predictions: heck, I can't choose. I honestly like all four of them. My two favorites are Jeffrey and Uli, but I think that either Michael or Jeffrey will win. Or maybe I just hope that Michael or Jeffrey will win lol
i really think that either Jeffrey or Uli will win... I'm hoping it is Jeffrey, but we shall see...
Do we find out the winner tonight?
I now want Jeffrey to win. Besides liking his designs the most, I think he needs this more than the others.
Yes, Jane2, we do. It seems like they've been dragging this one out forever!!
As talented as Jeffrey may be, his attitude throughout this entire season has been a real turn off. I'd rather not see him win.
I know what you mean about his attitude but I'm willing to blame some of it on editing to make us dislike him. I'm pretty outspoken myself so I can't really hold it against him. I'm looking at his background and giving him credit for where he is now.
Can't wait to see what happens!
"...and looks like Albert Einstein."
My friends and I said the same thing when we saw the episode.
I really hope Jeffrey or Uli wins.
Jane2, outspoken is one thing, but at times he was downright nasty. Somehow, I can't imagine you being like that!!
Apparently Jeffery cheated, or at least that's what Heidi said on Ellen today. I like his stuff, though, so I hope he wins or Michael wins. I'm just glad they didn't get rid of Uli because she's so sweet and makes some really pretty garments, so it will be interesting to see what her collection looks like.
Actually, I look forward to everyone's collection - I like all four designers very much, so whoever wins will be all right with me.

Flattery will get you everywhere, Dottie~
I'm glad it does, Jane2!!
I'm kind of surprised Heidi mentioned Jeffrey's cheating on Ellen, as tonight was supposed to be a "wait and see" hyped up moment.
