It's adorable!
That really isn't a normal thought.

You know, I have to say that I'm mortified and ashamed that this thread has made it to page 58 without a post from moi. Raúl is the best. Ever. There is no one I would rather see perform. Ever.

Why not? It IS a rather attractive bellybutton.
You guys never fail to make me smile!
That face...so cute. His belly button is quite attractive, I agree, Lari.
Oh god, I kept having day-mares today that when I go to Chitty again (if ever ) I would finally get to meet Raul at the stagedoor and he would recognize me (from my fan photos, I guess..) and say "Oh, you're one of those girls on bww.com who says crazy things about me on a thread." Can you IMAGINE how mortifying (yet funny) that would be??

Whyyyyyy must tick tick BOOM be so expensive? Gah, $17.99 is too much for my mom, I guess. I begged and argued.
Does anyone want to buy me tick tick BOOM? Rauuuuuul! Mi amore!
Ahem.
Not yet, greatdct. I'm going to ask my friend who's on the house staff at the show if she's heard anything about who they're sending. B'way on B'way is BIG, so they usually send the stars.
It's worth it, gav.

I know it is, Em. My mom and I argued for at least five minutes about it. But I'm liking Evita...
I will throw some deals her way tomorrow or Wednesday!
I just saw the Chitty commercial. He looks so good, it hurts me. The eyeliner is a *little* heavy, but it's just pretty.

I'll second that. *pet*
Someone sent me this - I guess I can post it!
From Entertainment Weekly:
Best New Stage Star: Raul E. Esparza
Age: 32
Moment of Arrival: In last summer's Sondheim Celebration at DC's Kennedy Centre, Esparza did double duty as Merrily We Roll Along's manic lyricist and Sunday in the Park With George's pointillist painter. "I remember being 15, driving around in my Chevette listening to Sunday," he recalls. Now Esparza's attending "game nights" chez Sondheim: "Steve's a really big cutthroat anagram player."
He Knew He's Made it When..."Walking through Shubert Alley and seeing my name over the title of a play."
Previous Jobs: Playing Rent composer (and Sondheim disciple) Jonathan Larson in Larson's autobiographical tick...tick...BOOM!, plus the time warping Riff-Raff in 2000's Rocky Horror Show revival. Prior to that, the Miami-born actor spent eight years in the Windy City. "I consider myself a Chicago actor," he says. "It's where I learned to throw myself, balls to the wall, into a stage production."
What's next: Finishing the year as the androgynous Emcee in Broadway's Cabaret, then joining Jim Dale (Barnum) in Off-Broadway's Comedians. "It's kind of like the Full Monty in a really mean environment," says Esparza. He'll be shaving his head, and wife Michele is "not happy."

Okay, that's adorable!
Haha. She's not happy. No, I'd imagine she wouldn't be.
Well, the shaved head was just not a happy thing. It should be forbidden. She knows what she's talking about!

Dear Raul...

Perhaps this is the reason why it's losing sales. Audiences demand the curl. Does the curl get top billing, as well?
No, no. You're confusing Raul with his buddy Adam, who will probably soon require that he AND his hair get top billing. Raul and his hair are still one entity. Thank God.
