Definitely still funny.
It's surprisingly good! I love Cohen's character.
Love greyhounds! Love the white shirt!

aw, I love greyhounds but they make me so sad because they're forced to race so much
I've always wanted to adopt one of the reitred race dogs... but I'm allergic, so when I do get a dog, it'll have to be like... a poodle or something. I'm either going to get one from a shelter or breed rescue, though.

One of my dogs looks like a greyhound a little bit. They are Irish Terriers, so they look sort of like mini Wolfhounds. But my dog is so fast, I think she could outrun a greyhound!
If it were up to me, I would have waaaay too many animals. Technically my only pet that's completely mine right now is my Persian cat. The other 5 are family pets
Oh, but greyhounds are one of the best dogs to get if you have allergies! They have extremely short hair and don't shed at all. And they're couch potatoes. They're perfectly happy to sit and sleep for 23 1/2 hours a day. The ideal dog, in my opinion.
I don't think I could ever dare go to Broadway Barks - I'd have to be forcibly restrained from adopting every animal there. And probably one or two of the presenters....

lol, me too.
I can't believe the people that freaked out about Raul smoking are the same ones wanting to gossip about his personal life. If an adult choosing to smoke a cigarette is enough to cause you to clutch your pearls, the details of Raul's personal life are definitely more than you can handle.
I think the point Emcee was trying to make is that gossiping is not bad. Posting gossip on a public message board read by countless people in the industry IS bad. Not to mention some people here know much more than they would ever be comfortable (or at liberty) to discuss with near-strangers, especially when they would be held accountable.
I just don't get why we can go 10,000 posts and 2 parts of a Raul thread with everyone using discretion and suddenly it's necessary to spell out for people that it's an inappropriate discussion for a public message board. It's not "policing" for the sake of keeping Raul's good name unsullied (snerk); it's been made abundantly clear just how many industry people (and beyond) read these boards. How many of you read about BWW posters being quoted in the Aida movie article in New York Magazine? How many remember when the BWW arguments with Anthony Rapp were featured in Variety? Thanks, but I'd rather not have my posts (or a thread containing my posts) linked to by a Michael Riedel/Musto column for the world to see. Again.
Really? They don't shed? I thought they did, but that's good to know! I worked with animals a LOT before I lived in the city. I miss it!
That's what the rescues here say, that they don't shed. When I researched hypo-allergenic dogs, greyhounds came in second only to poodles, and poodles require more grooming than a greyhound does.
And Raúl had a =brindle= greyhound....they are so gorgeous....
Huh, weird. It's usually poodles, and then bichons and shih tzus after that.
Thank you, skittles.
Dude, it's a DOG BREED and BWW is bleeping it out? Oy vey. *fixes*
Well, maybe if you'd spelled it right!
That too. :)
Uh, my bad. I should have qualified that - I was only researching large breeds. I'm not overly fond of ankle-biters. I like a dog you don't have to worry about stepping on.
LOL!
As someone who was quoted in the Aida column who was glad that she self-edited beforehand: very good points, skittles.
well, also that reporter who keeps ripping things from this site really needs to find some new material. The first time was kinda cool, but two times, really? There are plenty of other sources out there!
Sorry, it's just been a pet peeve of mine lately.
Yeah, but they seem to circulate between various internet sites -- here, ATC, prominent theater blogs. I guess it's just....go for whatever seems newsworthy in internet circles on a given day. It is pretty weird to see something from a message board that you post on just in fun quoted elsewhere, though.
Exactly. That and now that it seems to happen often with hot topics, some people may just start posting insane things just to get noticed, which will be very annoying.
Back to OT re: greyhounds - they are very good for people with allergies! My sister had an all black greyhound, and she could walk it through a crowd of yappy dogs, nasty kids and arguing adults and the dog was cool as a cucmber, never barked, pulled on its leash or responded to badly behaved dogs. They do need some vigorous exercise but will otherwise just veg out. Like most big dogs, they tend to suffer from hip dysplasia, but they are tempermentally very calm. When you take their photographs, their retinas shine back blue instead of red!
Brindles are beautiful - almost like a tortoise shell sculpture. Way to go, Raul! (if he had anything to do with the choice!)

Doesn't Raul have a dog? I remember that he mentioned it in that interview where they asked him about political candidates, and he nominated his dog, hehe. I'd love to know what kind. I feel like you can tell so much about people by the dogs they choose.
I remember reading somewhere that his dog was named Archie, but I don't think he mentioned what kind.

Greyhounds kind of freak me out, I'm not sure why though. My friend (who has relly bad allergies, btw) has one and I'm always afraid of, like, snapping it in half when I go to play with it.
I adore that he wore a white, collared shirt to play with animals. :)
(And I have nothing else to add about the other subject, but I commend you guys for having a mature and rational discussion instead of a screaming b)tch match!)

He looks so cute. That woman's necklace in the background is like prehistoric
