Ooh, yay. I'd been hoping for an interview.

Raul was the nicest person I've ever met at stage door, much nicer then Ms.Lupone who was kind of bitchy...Oh well, could have just been a rough night for her. *Naively*
What IS an answering service?
I'm pretty sure it's a company that you hire to take your messages and tell you what they are later -- obviously necessary in the days before answering machines. So if a person couldn't reach you by phone, they'd call your answering service and leave a message with an operator. And I guess they could explain why you weren't available, hence the "Another Hundred People" line.
Why Sondheim still uses one, not sure. I suppose he probably gets a lot of messages.

Heh, yeah. His machine would probably fill up really fast.
See, for example, "Bells Are Ringing."

Broadway.com asked if the nominees will write a speech. It's so obvious how much Raul wants it. I think so, anyway. *crosses fingers and toes*
He is so beyond full of it when he tells people he doesn't care. Why wouldn't he want it (badly)?
Have you seen Mary Poppins lately, Em?
I gave into the pressure and saw it Friday. It was so-so. Gavin was yay.
You're totally going to jinx it. Watch Gavin win now.
Nah.
Funny, though, that I wanted Raul to play Bert.
He would have been an awesome Bert. But, I'm glad he's Bobby.
Bert is like a saner, more likeable version of Caractacus. They also really played up his role as the narrator, and we all know how much I love those kinds of characters. Gavin was a perfect, perfect, perfect choice, though. I'm glad they brought him over.
As much as I would like to see Gavin, every time I even think about hearing/watching a production number of "Supercalifrag..." I feel slightly nauseated.

They changed the song, which kind of upset me... but I love the movie. A lot.
I dunno if anyone's seen this article posted, but Raul will be performing "Being Alive" on June 6th on Regis and Kelly's Broadway Week! :)

Wow, television press AND giving away the ending. Looks like they caved.
Color me shocked.
And, I mean, if they're going to start "giving away" the big number, which had previously been an issue, at least save it until Tony night.
I agree, em. Seems like a strange choice of time and place to give in - how about last April when the box office needed a transfusion?
Sure, go for the good when everyone knows the writing is on the wall. There's strategy!
Bleh. I'm getting antsy about how much longer it'll last, sorry. I think I'm seeing it with a friend from out-of-town tomorrow. It's time to end my break.
I wonder if they're going to have to cut anything out of the song for it to be on R & K (Being Alive's kind of a long song for a morning talk show). That would be a shame.
You're right jenna2 - that would be a shame. Almost as much of a shame as not using Mary-Mitchell Campbell's arrangements on Tony night.
I know... it's tragic that they aren't using her arrangements for the Tonys. There's nothing like producers pretending to advertise their show. I wonder whose arrangement they'll go with on Regis.
I know - I'll do one!
Sweet!
Or they could let Raúl just bang something out his piano and sing along. That would be golden!
