Hee, yeah. We were talking about reviews. Company had just opened and I congratulated him on the good reviews. He said he didn't read them (he rarely does), and I was sort of like, "well, but you have to at least know how good they were!" He said that part of the reason he doesn't read reviews is that even the good ones can be damaging -- some actors feel that if they read how much a critic liked a certain aspect of their performance, they'll be very conscious of wanting to be sure they nail it every single time... but they'll overdo it and risk "killing it," so to speak. So after he saw this compliment about his use of the cigar, he
really went for it, and lit the wig on fake dead Eva Peron on fire. heh.
