lol, right after katecabb said it sounded too good to be true, it became apparent that it definitely WAS. I didn't even follow up on reading that, so I didn't see the last part until now.
I'll admit, up until that Starbucks crack, they had me going. I'm not usually that gullible, but I wanted SO badly to believe what they were saying was possible.
Maybe if we all wish very, very hard, and clap....
Heh, if you can't recognize that blatant of mocking sarcasm, you need to spend more time on the main board.
ugh i refuse to go to the main board
... why?
The main board is the entire point of BWW. Why join if you have no interest in theatre beyond one performer?
Right!
The main board is a hoot! Where else would one see a thread entitled
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh...I love Amanda Bynes"
LOL! Like dangling catnip!
i have an interest in more than one performer. but i find that a lot of people on the main board want to strangle you if you profess a difference of opinion from them. I prefer the off-topic board because the creative climate here is more to my preference. While the people here may not be performing on Broadway tonight, they are involved in other endeavors of the creative nature.
I think it goes through phases. Sometimes it's totally inundated with old-time inside jokes, which is annoying, but if you ignore it completely, you miss out of some really thought-provoking discussion and good information. Just be ready to back up your opinions, and to take stupidity in stride. People who attack you JUST because your opinion is different and can't have a discussion about it, frankly, are not worth your time. I don't really find the OT board to have a "creative climate," heh. What, nobody argues here, is that it? And just because the Main Board is a Broadway board doesn't mean you have to be a performer to be accepted there; plenty of us pursue endeavors in all corners of the arts. I've never found people to be looked down upon because they are not or do not aspire to be performers.

frankly I just love the threads that people create - even on the main board. some of the titles alone make me laugh

Esparza as McShane's pimp son
Love it!
Oooh, sounds like it could be interesting.
(This puts me past the 10,000 post mark. Scary)
Yay! It will be interesting to see him in another non-musical role.
How exciting! I'm really happy for him -- and yaaaaay straight play!
Someone so has to go photoshop Raul's face on a pimp's body though. Big hat with the feather and all!
Haha. I'v enever seen him in a straight play so I'm really excited.

I just ordered one from the library. I think the system is relieved that it's not another Harry Potter request, hehe.
"Raul's going to be in a play! He's a PIMP!" I love you, siamese dream.
And no one has mentioned - Pinter play? Come on, Company fans.
