To great talent...

To say I'm impressed with the interview in the Sondheim Review would be to state the obvious, because he always interviews well, but I love that while a lot of interviews spend so much time re-capping his career, this one really focuses on Doyle's approach from Raul's perspective, which is fascinating, IMO. The more I read and learn about Doyle, the more I'm in awe of his genius.

I like that picture. To great talent...

I meant to comment on the Sondheim Review article before, but then I got kind of busy. It's so interesting to hear more about what it was like to work with John Doyle and his ideas about the character, although a lot of it is word-for-word what he said in the Around Cincinnati radio interview. The Juilliard mistake still bugs me, though.

It makes me laugh, I'm sorry!!

Okay, on a PROFESSIONAL level, it makes me mad. I mean, that's basic.

I wonder how Juilliard came up in the interview. I mean, that's not something they would just pull out of thin air...

Yeah, it's a weird error. Heh.

My assumption was that the person just... assumed he went to Juilliard, for one reason or another. Maybe because they figured "hey, all talented people go to Juilliard!" or something. But still, factual mistakes really, really bother me. You're going to publish something, you check, you double check and you triple check. There's just NO excuse for that -- especially something that basic.

You're definitely not the only one, Elphie. I don't think it's that big a deal, though, really.

Yeah, I know. But if she's going to show it to him...then I don't know how I feel about posting, if you know what I mean.
