The Official Raúl E. Esparza "Spread the Love" Thread, part two

Posted: 1/29/07 at 5:07pmI kind of gasped and grinned like an idiot to see that a couple of the book scenes will be on the cast recording -- especially "You have a good third husband, Joanne...", since that's my favorite scene in the show. SO unexpected and exciting, since any cast recording I've ever seen of Company has been just the songs.

I'm confused. BWW says the 13th. Is that true? Or can we still get it on the 6th?
Hah, thanks, Chrys!
I am so unbelievably excited.

Elphie, the CD will be available to order via the PSClassics website starting on the 6th. The CD will be available in stores/itunes on the 13th. You just have to determine if ordering it online is worth it (which it would only be if you think it would reach you before you could pick it up yourself).

Okay, thanks.
So, even if we order on the 6th, it won't get to us before the 13th, and probably after?

Hey, don't know if you guys have seen this yet.
Good choice in movies. I saw that one a few weeks ago and it is so amazing.

Love him. Would totally go see him in Sinatra: The Movie.

That made me laugh out loud a number of times. I dunno why. I mean, can you picture him white-water kayaking? I have kayaks at home and I love them, but the concept of white water scares me. Then again, I have a phobia of boats that rock. So anything other than almost totally still water is foreign to me.
ANYway. He told me the Evita story after a performance a couple of months ago. It's hilarious. I want to see him dance salsa. Yay Mac users. Oh, and Billy Joel's "Shameless" is one of my favorite songs in the entire world. I can definitely imagine him singing it.
PS, he's supposed to be back in the show tonight.

I was just looking for Company on amazon.ca, and this was the top entry when I searched. The real recording's not there. ![]()

Posted: 1/30/07 at 12:42pmDefinitely the wrong recording (and $28 to boot!). Is there actually a Company in Jazz CD? I know Sweeney Todd has one.

Hmm, this jazz CD has the same ASIN as the revival recording on amazon.com. Maybe... it IS the right one? And it's just titled wrong? It's all very strange.
Sweeney in jazz is actually pretty fantastic!

That was interesting! And "Shameless" is such a good song.
Eesh, I didn't realize how expensive the Miscast benefit was!

I've always wanted to go to one of the Miscast benefits, but the tickets are way, way too expensive.
They sound hilarious.

I love "Shameless" by Billy Joel, one of my favorites. Kayaking in white water is pretty impressive. I go kayaking every summer, and I flipped over in one once, and that was in a bay.
I'd love to see him salsa

I never would have put Raul and kayaking together. Intriguing. I love what those Q&A's come up with.
I'd forgotten how hilarious Raul's second chatterbox is. I was on the floor laughing when he jumped up on the bench to finish Defying Gravity.
