Yeah, that's the one. I saw the resemblance in the face more than anything, although I do agree that Raul is more attractive.
I love the non-chalant whistling and the arrow that goes with the "MANLY" label. Heh! And yeah, I see it in the face, too.
Em - hope you're feeling better. Orange juice and sleep! I will be there at Kristin's thing at Ars Nova Monday night - hope you are well enough to attend, too.
I feel a little better today. It hurts my throat to drink orange juice... I've been living on Gatorade.
I should post about it on the main board so more people go.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to Kristin's gig and I'll be bringing 4 friends with me. Should be a fun time.
Cool! If you guys didn't buy tickets yet, you can get them online for $10 with a discount code that popped up. Go to smarttix.com, put in her name, and then use the code "khuff." It only works online though, so if you want to buy your tickets at the door, they're gonna be $15.
Oh that's great! I'll buy them online then. Thanks for the info.

I finally got my Company cd today! I was listening to it while driving to my friends house and had to turn off "Being Alive" - for some reason that song always makes me tearful and I didnt want my mascara to get messed up right before I got there. Its so amazing, I've been listening to it all night. This is one of those shows that I wish had a professional recording of the entire show, not just the musical numbers, because the spoken dialogue is just as great
I never did get to see the American Theater magazine article about Raul from a couple of months ago. Does anyone know if there is a way to get back issues?

Printed copies? I don't know about that, but I'm sure you can find an online version. If you try your library homepage, they have links to periodicals, they might have American Theater
Yeah. I've never mailed anything, but I know people who have. If you mail him something now, though, be patient, 'cause this is a crazy time of year.

You CAN order back issues of American Theatre Magazine. Go to this website http://www.tcg.org/publications/at/mayjune07/home.cfm?CFID=6651690&CFTOKEN=49026644 and click "order back issues." The one with the article on him was the March 2007 one. :)
Thanks, Spotlight. My subscription just took too long so they started with this month's copy.

hehe. I think it was you who said its definetly not closing before the Tony's, right? Bc I'm going on vacation until June 1 and I'm wondering if I should wait till then or not. I dont know if I can though, I have a sudden need to hear Raul sing "Being Alive"
Right, that's what I heard.
I last went to COMPANY on April 18 - think I am having withdrawal symptoms, and need to buy another ticket quick! I was going to go next Wednesday but I figured I had better grab Journey's End - ordered a ticket yesterday and got seat B 103 in the orchestra. Oh, dear - for the cast, not for me - that the theater is going to be so empty.

for Company, you mean? I know, I absolutely have to see it before it closes.
I feel so bad that it's empty.
How was the show when you saw it last?
misschung - that B 103 ticket was for Journey's End.
When I went to COMPANY in mid-April, Wednesday matinee, the orchestra was 75% full but the mezzanine sounded suspiciously quiet. The performance was wonderful, the cast was very "on" and the audience was pretty "warm." When I went in late January, the audience was like ice - how actors deal with that, I'll never know. I felt like I ought to start checking pulses to make sure the audience had one.
One of the most notable things in the April performance was the moderation of the speed of Heather Laws' performance of "Getting Married" - she is still very very fast but she had slowed down just enough to deliver more of the lyrics. The audience seemed to be getting more from it that way.
Company better stay open past the Tony's. I have plans to see it at least twice this summer.

thanks, kean. I was wondering how the audience recieved the show. So many people love it but it's been doing so poorly in sales that you know some people just dont really "get" or appreciate it as much. I dont think I will be able to see it before I go away tho, so it had better stay open!
