now I really want to listen to that during my drive to school, but my soundtrack hasn't arrived yet
Does anybody remember the exact quote from Company when Bobby says "the only thing about being married is that someone else is there all the time" or something like that. It's one of my favorite lines but I can't remember it exactly.
He says to David:
"Listen, I agree. But you know what bothers me is, if you marry, then you've got another person there all the time. Plus, you can't get out of it whenever you just might want to get out of it. You're caught, see? And even if you do get out of it, what have you got to show for it? Not to mention the fact that, then, you've always been married. I mean, you can never not have been married again."
I have the libretto, so that wasn't all from memory.
... only some.

that is such a great scene
I'm kind of out of the conversation but I love to wear fedora's/and or suspendors. I bought some real nifty suspendors at Wet Seal for 2 dolla's, a total steal!
I bought it a while ago at The Drama Bookshop in midtown, but they sell it at the theater now, and I've seen it in a lot of bookstores throughout the city. I'm sure B&N has it online, too.
The CD booklet has the lyrics and whatever dialogue is on the CD.
Yeah, you can buy the libretto from B&N or Amazon online. I need to do that at some point when I'm not a struggling college student.

Brina - they sell suspenders a lot now. I think they had them at H&M for cheap, too.
Thanks for libretto info
Raúl is one of the featured performers in the documentary "Show Business," the new film that spotlights four shows of the 2003/2004 Broadway season from rehearsals through the Tony Awards. One of the shows is Taboo, so there's some great behind the scenes rehearsal footage & pro-shot clips of the show, plus several interviews.
It's a wonderful movie in any case, but to see so much of Raúl was a nice bonus!
I saw it back when it was at Tribeca and I absolutely adored it. I can't recommend it highly enough, for many, many reasons.

*sighs* I STILL haven't seen it. But I'm going to, damn it. Raul talking about putting a show together...priceless.
I just rewatched the trailer. I must see it.

God, I haven't even seen the trailer yet.
Where does one find said trailer?
ETA: Never mind. Thank you, IMDb.

Is the one on there different from the one here? It's in that BWW TV thing.
Ooh, a real trailer. No, the thing on IMDb is just a clip of Isherwood and Riedel talking about Taboo.
I am so glad to hear that Raul is featured in the movie as I didn't catch him anywhere in the trailer and that worried me a little.
The camera crew had almost (if not completely) unrestricted access to rehearsals and stuff for the four shows featured in the film; Raúl gives a backstage tour of the Plymouth, and then there's a clip of him and a few other actors rehearsing Philip's fight scene.
I must confess that I am steadily becoming more obsessed with Raul. It's a little late in my life to develop an all out obsession, but there you have it.
Pictures from the "Showbusiness" premiere. He's everywhere!

cute pictures
I found pretty pictures!
I really like this one. They always take such cute pictures.
This one's a tad creepy:
He looks...really oddly proportioned...
I love that first one of Raul and Jane!
