he looks great. the red and grey really work for him!
Jane annoys me but Raul looks adorable!
I think he actually looks better in a tee shirt than a tux. But I do love that tie in the last photo.
I'm getting that nervous/anxious feeling about seeing/meeting him again tonight. :-/
Aww, Raul and Jane are both completely adorable..
I'm sure it'll go fine, jb.
Aww, but you've met him before, right? You'll be fine.
(I like how that's coming from me, the most nervous person on the planet.)
I added four people to the audience tonight at COMPANY - trying to get everyone I know to go - once they go, they go back again on their own!
Have fun tonight jb - I'm jealous!
Oooh, keen, you beat me to the avatar switch! Good choice, though, it's a gorgeous picture of him.
Thanks, em! But you know Raul - he will be everywhere again this week, and you will have lots of new goodies to choose from.
I got a kick out of the pictures from Drama Desk - in the one where Raul is drawing an "illustration" of COMPANY, he looks like he has his tongue between his teeth like a first grader concentrating at art class.
So did I; he looks like he's working so hard. Everybody's drawings were hysterical, though. I love Gavin Lee's.
I'll probably keep mine for a while; I love the lighting.

The shirtless guy in the Old Spice commerical looks SO MUCH like Raul. His face, anyway.
Not having seen said shirtless guy, is that a compliment?
I've been watching TV for two days straight; you'd think I would have seen this commercial!

Umm... I'd say that the guy in the commerical is slightly less attractive than Raul, but he's not a bad-looking guy. And I have to admit that Old Spice guy had the better body. Their hairy chests match, though.
I saw it on ESPNews, Emcee, so maybe that's why. I think the commerical was aimed at getting guys to believe that Old Spice is indeed masculine.

lol, probably. Maybe I'll do some ESPN-watching later. I'm so bored. Boo sick.
Oh was he great tonight! and so gracious at the stage door. The instant he flashed that smile of his at me as he was coming out that door all of my anxiousness and nervousness disappeared. We had such a nice conversation. I. LOVE. HIM

I had friends in the audience tonight so I am glad to hear he was great. He seems to be able to make people feel comfortable - no wonder this thread is up to 140,000+ hits!
As I've gotten older and more involved in the theater community, I've been able to come out of my shell with people I'd been really nervous around for years, but for some reason, I can't shake those nerves with him. It generally takes me a pretty long time to be comfortable around someone, but still, he's so easy-going, so it's kind of strange that I'm so intimidated and tongue-tied.
I hope your friends liked it, keen!
I will find out in the morning what my friends thought of the show. I even gave them the cast recording so they could get to know the music before attending. I am a one person PR machine - all for love.
I am due to go back and see the show again - especially now that I know what to listen for in "You Could Drive a Person Crazy"!
I'm in the process of trying to get my younger brother to see it. He's an incredibly talented musician and he LOVED Sweeney, so I think he would really like it. He's just impossible to pin down -- you know how busy eighteen-year-old boys can be. =P
Oh, you're going to Kristin's cabaret show Monday, yes? I hope I can still go, but I'm coughing so hard that I think I might expell a lung, and I can't reasonably go to a performance if I sound like this.
Lexi, I think I just saw the commercial. Is it the one where the guy is in a locker room or something, talking about taking the "Old Spice challenge," with whistling in the background, and he's super-hairy? lol.
Yeah that's the comercial. I personally think Raul is much better looking than him lol
It's a funny commercial, heh. Either that or I've just been watching too much TV. That guy does have a better body, but he's doing shirtless commercials -- what do you expect? I think Raul's a lot more attractive though.

Yeah, that's the one. I saw the resemblance in the face more than anything, although I do agree that Raul is more attractive.
