Hah. Ok. I thought you meant you went to a talkback with zero people at all, which confused me very much.
I don't think that that would work very well. *giggles*

I see. I really want a chance to meet Raul but I'm doubting it's gonna happen now .
I'll probably chicken out of meeting him.

*kicks Ohio* Even when something good here happens it's a once in a lifetime thing and if you miss it then you don't get another chance because NYC is far away. I am gonna mope now... Okay, I'm done. I should be grateful to be seeing the show at all, and I am- I just was really hoping to get to tell Raul how much I love his work and now it looks like it's not gonna happen.
Why would it not happen?
If you're there you mine as well try. And I think there's only one door for him to come out of, so he can't escape.
I've never set foot in this thread before, but I would just like to state that Raul rocks my world and is one of my favorite performers.
Hee, Fantab.
The only talkback I've ever been to was for an off-Broadway show, and it was the playwright and the musical director, with 2 of the actors joining in in the middle of the talkback.
He's not a machine; you could get lucky.
There's only one door. He COULD sneak out during the talkback if he's not doing it or he could hole himself up, but it's worth trying.
You could write to him. He's good about mail.

"he can't escape" LOL I don't know why but that made me laugh like crazy! Like I'm gonna go try to stalk him or something... *ponders* . I just don't know how I would be able to "catch" him if I am going to the talkback and he doesn't go.
EDIT: If I don't get a chance to meet him then I will definitly try mailing him Em.

I sent him a letter once. He sent me an autographed picture from Chitty about two days later.

Did you ask for it Bohemian or did he just randomly send it?
I asked for an autograph.

Okay, I was just wondering because I think it's kind of funny when they just randomly send someone an autographed pic like- Here I am! Aren't I pretty?

One of these days I *will* hear Raul sing Being Alive. I'm sure it is fabulous, as everything else he sings. I can't imagine how draining a show like this should be. And at the same time, I always feel rediculous when he says "thanks for coming". With Raul, I feel like I should thank him for the performance. There are a lot of sacrifices one has to make. And one of the cool things about Raul is that he is always so real. He tells it like it is. I love that.
I'm so blessed to be able to see great artists like Raul create something, and even more blessed to chat with him sometimes about his work. He is so supportive, and that is also something that is a bit rare.
I've had good experiences with him, and not so good ones. But he's a human being, and he doesn't owe anyone anything. He didn't ask for the fame. It just sort of came to him because he's such an amazing performer.
Raul is incredible in so many ways. And I'm so thankful for him and his remarkable talent because he really has enriched my life in so many ways.
*end of love letter*

Company pictures on his website! There's a really beautiful one of him playing the piano.
They are very nice.

You know, I just feel like people are slightly too quick to crown him a diva.
Anyways. Woot! Pictures! I love the one where he is leaning against the piano. Beautiful.
My mind seems to change every hour with what I think about Raul's "attitude".
That's probably about as fast as his mood changes.
I've been trying to make one of the Company photos into my desktop background, but they're all just a tiny bit too small and come out pixelated. Not a lot, but enough to bug you. I need to find someone photoshop saavy who wants to make me a desktop background collage with them.
