"uh yeah actually I never really had the stones to do it, but the support and encouragement recently has been overwhelmingly positive. so yes it's in the works. Possibly live from the upcomign Joes' gig."
Now THAT would rock!

Well, Greg Jbara obviously has internet in his dressing room. Maybe he's not the only one. hah.

Posted: 3/3/06 at 7:46pmThat would be awesome...but how exactly would that work? Wouldn't there be applause and people shouting and what not?

Posted: 3/3/06 at 7:47pmUsually on "live" CDs you hear applause. It would be pretty hard for them to prevent cheering anyway.

I was just about to say "Ohh Mano Cam...I see it now" except...nobody would ever be on it...they're always onstage...oops.

The Movin' Out CD was recorded live, but it was edited you only hear applause in the beginning and the end; I'm not even sure if it's live applause. It kind of sounds synthetic, a la Cabaret (which was NOT recorded live... I don't think.) Obviously, though, there would be more random cheers and stuff during a concert like that then at a Broadway show. Recordings can be made from the soundboards, or they can just be taken right from the sound equipment on stage -- if mics are placed right, and whatnot.
Joe's Pub has bizarre acoustics, though. Amateur live recordings tend to come out miserable, so I wonder how a professional one would turn out, as opposed to going into the studio.

I never knew that about the 'Movin Out CD.
*runs to listen*
Woah...they're really obvious. I've clearly heard them before - but I never realized it was a live audience.

Posted: 3/3/06 at 7:51pmHow big is Joe's Pub? It seems that a lot of people with big fan followings (ex. Adam Pascal) have had gigs there, I assume it gets rather crowded...

It's small, and if the gig is popular, tends to sell out really fast.
It's one of my favorite places in the city, though. From the stage, it's likely that the performers can see everyone in the room. Their website says capacity is 161.
Seeing Adam there is one of my most favorite memories, because of its size.

I'm jumping on the thread now. I've read the whole thing cause I'm bored, and I love him even more now. Only two long weeks until I go to New York and 19 days until Sweeney Ugh. Let's hope time files!
Loving Manoel right now!

I always feel bad because they keep it so dark that flashes are absolutely BLINDING, but I'll take a few pictures for you guys.
uuugh, it's so far. away.
heh. Every time I pick up a new object of affection, I'm always afraid performance dates will collide, or something. Like, I'll get tickets to Mano's gig and it'll conflict with Adam's.

Posted: 3/3/06 at 8:02pmI wonder if there would be some way that I could age myself to 16 within two months and 4 days, despite the fact that my birthday is in early October...thoughts anyone?

Show her a pic of him and play "Not While I'm Around", that'll do the trick.

That's so nice of you, Em! My parents do know about BWW, my mom actually met Westernsky2 and Blucat500 when we ran into them in NYC. So I'll definitely ask them.
