You forgot to mention after you said we looked really pale in the picture he said "Good thing we have dark eyebrows." It was so dorky and yet so cute.

Oh, right. hah.
I have such a weird memory.
ETA -- no, there was no sickness. No falling asleep, and I think I said his name right!

When we were waiting for him to come over and he was signing other peoples playbills, he was teaching them how to properly pronounce his name

He was incredibly sweet throughout the entire thing. And I asked him to sign a playbill for gertrudejessalyn, and he signed it, "Love, Mano." Awww.
It was really cool to meet you guys.

Ahh, such a fun time. I'm still all giddy and staring at my pretty picture. Em pretty much covered everything - I'm still awwing over his modesty about not thinking Joe's Pub will sell out quickly and giggling over the Escher staircases comment (and I think he also said something cute about the link to nowhere on the website).
Somewhere in there he asked where we were all from, and if we went to high school together, since we were all from separate places. I guess the assumption might have been that we went to high school together and were now split up for college? I'm not sure.
I think he assumed that we were all in high school. Which amused me, because people always tend to think I look 5-10 years older than I actually am.

Posted: 3/8/06 at 12:00amI loved the Escher staircase comment. And I like the idea that he thought that we all went to high school together but then split up for college much better.

OMG, he really wrote "love?" Take a picture!!
I should really drop the fangirl thing, like, soon.
BG, Fantab said the same thing. I just read it differently, I guess! But then again, I look young.
It was so cool to meet you, Ash! Sorry it was so cold.
I'll PM the picture around.

Posted: 3/8/06 at 12:03amYea, I think he thought we were in high school. I vaguely remember someone (I think it was Em) telling him we were all in college and him making a "oops" type of face.

Posted: 3/8/06 at 12:07amI think that's what it says... I'll take a picture of it tomorrow, maybe.... or else wait until I send it to Rach and she can do it if she wants.

My memory is randomly coming back to me.
Mano also says things like "Right on" and "Sweet", A LOT. Such a California boy.

That was kinda funny. Nobody says that stuff in New York.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. That "Maggie Well" is the nicest guy EVER. And the tickets will SO sell out (but just in case anyone misses out, he has another Joe's Pub gig in early June)
Glad you guys had such a great stage door experience!
