#1450The Land of Mano, where the violins roam freely

I'm trying to figure out how I can get myself there.
He really reminds me of Raul sometimes. It's kind of creepy.

Posted: 3/8/06 at 12:57amYeah, me too. Physically, obviously, but in personality and... attributes, too. They're both so smart and dedicated by virtue OF their intelligence. They're both really soft spoken, but funny as hell if you get them going, too.
#1452The Land of Mano, where the violins roam freely
Posted: 3/8/06 at 12:58amI've never seen Raul perform (sacrilege, I know) So I can't contribute to that. But I've heard it from many people.

When he comes back to NYC, you've gotta try to see him. It's.... not even just a performance. It's an experience. Seriously, one of the most brilliant actors in New York. At the very least.
Mano would make a kick-ass Che.
He's like the younger-but-not version of Raul. He'll be my proxy while Raul cheats on me.

I know, I know...When I moved to NYC, all he was in was "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang"...but I SO didn't want to see that show. But the next one he's in, I'm DEFINITELY watching.
And yeah, Mano would be great as Che. But I don't think it's gonna happen, since there's a new Evita being done in London, which is likely to transfer to Broadway. But who knows

Manoel reminds me a lot of Raul as well, though not at all in a bad way. They seem to speak similarly, and are both obviously incredibly intelligent... which they put to great use in their craft.
Mano WOULD be a great Che, wow.

Ahem, are we *sure* Mano is the younger version of Raul?
#1467The Land of Mano, where the violins roam freely
Posted: 3/8/06 at 1:21amWell, I think Sweeney's $36 tickets will prevent me from going more than I should. I thought this was going to be a cheap spring, but $20 here and $20 there really starts to add up.

SHHHHH, gertRUDE.
And seriously, Raul is almost in the "pushin' forty" range. *buries head in hands*
I've hardly spent any money at all this semester so far. After break, I need to start seeing the new shows, so that'll change.

He wouldn't be the first to like, straight-up lie, but... he sure doesn't LOOK IT.

#1474The Land of Mano, where the violins roam freely
Posted: 3/8/06 at 1:38amThe whole thing is ridiculous to me. I know casting people aren't even really *allowed* to ask age; if you look the part, fine. If you don't, then... well, that sucks.
