Huge losses this year.

Bette looks stunning.

Did Bette Midler get her dress from the postulant Maria von Trapp got her dress from?
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

I don't know if the producers told the audience in advance not to clap during the In Memoriam segment or if they simply cut out the live audio from the theatre, but either way, classy move. It's always a bit tacky when they clap for the recognizable stars and then don't for the others who passed.

I see Sarah Jones as added right before they cut to commercial. Don't agree with that but whatever.

Bette is a wonder from the heavens.

I was SO happy they cut the audio of the audience. It's always so awkward when some people get applause and others don't.

And Bette had me in tears, like I knew she would. And she seemed kind of surprised at the love she got from the audience.

Huge losses this year and Bette looked fabulous and sung her song beautifully.

Really enjoyed Bette's performance tonight. It was a very nice tribute.

Eris. My mouth dropped when I saw that. Either include her or do not. What they did felt worse than if they had just not included her...

....and she received a well deserved standing ovation! So my guess is she felt FABULOUS!!! Ha!

What the hell did John Travolta just call Idina Menzel?!?!?!?!?!

I missed the beginning. What was the instrumental music playing during the In Memorium segment? Was it Somewhere In Time?

Liza, as I said in the other thread she should be included in the Emmys. She has mostly TV credits. Doing it like an afterthought is a slap to her and those who were included.

WHAT did he call her? Ahden Dunzie?

You guys must have seen a different Bette song than I did.

The In Memorium segment is such a weird thing to get worked up over. When that lady nobody heard of got that graphic shout-out in the end I thought that would have made people happy.

Clearly the biggest injustice tonight was poor Idina's introduction.

OMG. John Travolta just cost her immeasurable publicity. Or provided it to her.

Ellen to the rescue!

And I think Travolta just broke BWW. Every poster is rushing to the site to post WTF?!?!?
