You're not missing anything, Liza. It's a cute bit, but she's steeeeetching it out way too long. But, yeah, I want pizza now, too, Jane!

"then change the channel. I think most of us are enjoying it."
Is it too much to ask that on an awards show celebrating creativity that there is zero creativity?

"Jane, get your eyes checked, honey"
I ain't your honey.
New flash - Kim looks even OLDER than 81. Oh, thank you for telling me why she looks that way, one would have no idea.

Underusing Ellen?
She is likely about to get the most re-tweets ever. She has all of social media engaged. I think they're using her brilliantly.
Not all of the bits are my 'thing', but the way she is hosting is on-target!

My house erupted in applause when Lupita won.
Not to mention, I don't lust after people but DAMN that Bradley Cooper is a sexy beast.

From Bruce LaBruce's Twitter:
Ellen has about as much edge as contemporary western gay culture.

Posted: 3/2/14 at 10:33pmAddy, what I meant was that I'd like to see her do more of her standup. She is a poorly underused comedienne in general because she's primarily known these bits that are more interactive and personal. While it's fun to see her truly engage with the stars, I miss her jokes and comedic timing... which is lost in the bits with selfies and pizza.

Posted: 3/2/14 at 10:36pmI don't know why acknowledging Kim Novak's appalling appearance--which is clearly a product of her own electable surgical choices, as opposed to the unavoidable aging process--is considered the same thing as an "attack" or mean-spirited. It's not like people are talking about June Squibb's wrinkles or something. Anyway, let's move on.
