The craven calculation of "in secret" is revealed on the spot. He met with her, and now the straight white patriarchy (i.e. the Church; ask the silenced nuns not asked to dine with Himself) coyly refuses to confirm or deny. Or discuss it further. It's called having it both ways and serving neither morality nor good public relations. "Who am I to judge?" the Pontiff asks so meagerly, shrugging his bowed shoulders beneath his snow white frippery; a meaningless, indeed empty statement if you are quietly judging, and worse, supporting the rights-denying judgement of a narcissistic miscreant like Davis.

Why would the pope meet with an evangelical Christian? Why would an evangelical Christian give two sh!ts about what the pope has to say? Evangelicals don't believe in idol worship, nor do they believe that people need a mediator when it comes to God. They don't believe in praying to anyone but the Holy Trinity. They don't believe in confession to priests or penance. They believe God already knows all.
I just don't get it.

This made me laugh. Sadly. I was skeptical at first about his meeting with Kim Davis, but this article says it all. And the Times, too. It's true-- he's the same piece of usual dog sh*t wrapped in shinier paper. It was nice that he was smiley and hugging babies and talked about climate change and all, but this ruins it all for me.

I found this post from a Catholic priest that basically says the pope met with a lot of people and probably gave them all a rosary and said "be strong." I'm upset he met with her, but I hope her team (that this dummy has a team now is crazy-making) is spinning it to be a bigger deal than it was.
