This is the internet. anyone can say what they want, but until there is evidence, I am going to conclude that b'waybaby 3 is full of sh!t.

Also, why don't you worry about movies like "Cruising" or shows like Queer as Folk...you know the stuff that gives the homo's bad names, as opposed to Rent, which actually depicts homosexuality in a positive light.

I said nothing about a sleazy straight guy's fantasy, I simply stated that if the producers of the movie were uncomfortable depicting a gay couple, that clip would not have been in the trailer. To a homophobe, two women kissing is the same as two men kissing.
Whatever happened to class?

oh, my poor misguided friends. I hate to rain on your parade but you have no clue when it comes to matters of real life situations. For the record, RENT is not Harry Potter, the scripts were not guarded and secret. 2nd Cruisin was a great film. 3rd please by all means continue to goo over your favorite rent actor/actress. I'm sure the blood sucking producers are counting on you to line their already fat pockets.
Perhaps, they will give some to charity.

If, as staticradar says, the gay male lovers kiss 3 times during the production, I wonder how many of those are going to be retained in the movie.

As for the gay marriage issue, I would have liked it to be integrated into the relationship between the two men. Chris Columbus appears to have gone for the safe option by incorporating it into the relationship between the women, not the men.

Overall, the impressions I'm getting from the trailer is that of a general de-gaying in relation to the gay male relationship.

The trailer also doesn't show people taking their AZT or talking about AIDS. Is that homophobic?

Whem the movie comes out, it will be reviewed. People will discuss it on TV. Everyone will know that there are homosexual characters in the story, and that some of the characters have AIDS. It's not like the makers of the film are trying to hide these elements and trick the audience!

At least they are willing to reveal that it's a MUSICAL. The early trailers fro Chicago and Phantom of the Opera had no singing in them!

Um, art, if you think gay marriage should have been incorporated I *think* you're missing the point of all these relationships, heterosexual, homosexual, male or female being treated simply as love. The point is not to deal with political issues as much as accepting all these relationships as if they were not different.

After all, I believe the gay marriage issue was cut from the final draft.

I think there is homophobia involved in the omission of two men kissing in the trailer of a movie where that is a story(albeit not the only story.)

This is definitely not the battle to win in a very important war.

I am 100% with Justice on this. The show is NOT about homosexuality. The show IS about love, relationships, and secondary to that, AIDS.......
There happens to be two gay couples.........please do NOT try to turn this into a "totally" gay show.......it is NOT, and never was.
