I just wanna jump RIGHT in there with him in those curtain call pictures!!

A reminder: Raúl's episode of Law & Order:Criminal Intent is scheduled to air tomorrow (6/28 ) at 9PM on the USA network.
I have to qualify that by saying that is accurate only as far as the old information is concerned. Nobody connected with L&O:CI has seen fit to update any listings anywhere to include guest stars for the episode, titled "Lady's Man". That was the name of the episode when he filmed his scenes back in February. I see nothing to indicate that has changed, but without more recent information I don't want to say absolutely positively it's his episode.
All we can do is watch/record and hope its the correct episode.
He's just so Wolverine like!! I think it's kind of cute.

OK - I haven't ever seen L&O: CI before. Is the writing always this unimpressive? The only scene I liked was the one where the body is found. Everything else seemed pretty unconvincing. Glad to see Raul but wish the venue was better. Potentially interesting part without the chance to do much with it. I'm feeling kind of let down after waiting months to see this.
Yeah, I'm watching it a few minutes behind on DVR and the show on the whole is kind of terrible.
Also? We never did get the money shot of the full costume. I am deeply disappointed about this.

I don't watch the show, I have a deep-seated loathing of Vincent D'Onofrio. No idea why. So I can't attest to it's normal type of writing, acting or directing.
But yes, it did not seem to be a very good episode, or well written. Raul did the best he could with what he was given, but there just wasn't much there. He looked lovely, the camera really seems to like him. I will say the physical contrast between him and D'Onofrio was...disconcerting, to say the least (when did Vinnie get so fat??). He just looked so....little!
I have a hunch the money shot ended up on the cutting room floor, along with other expository scenes. Also, never saw a scene where the need for a female double who looks like him would come into play. More reasons it was a poor episode.
Also, the final scene was like....that's it? That's the big emotional outburst his character is allowed? Again, he did the best he could with what he had, but.....feh.
The only place where I can even conceive of the need for the female double is the one where he's putting on the corset, but it never did pay off.

The long manicured fingernails cracked me up - I kept thinking about Robin Williams being transformed in Mrs. Doubtfire ("Jungle Red. Do you think it ees too much?")! Those certainly were his hands, if our obsession with those same hands has taught me anything.
I have to go back and check, but I think it was seven scenes. Eight if you count the dressing scene. That's not bad, all in all. I'd say he probably had at least 20 minutes of screen time.
The camera really seems to like him, and the director did a good job of capturing the nuances of his facial expressions.
Also, never saw a scene where the need for a female double who looks like him would come into play.
Those last two screencaps are the double. Obviously with what they ended up with, they didn't need a female double who resembled him because you never saw the face, but that part was definitely an actual woman.
Kind of a boring episode, but whatever. Raul looks great on screen though.
Okay, watched it. And, given the stellar reviews from you guys, I elected to fast forward through all the non-Raul scenes.
It was a wasted oppty, but I agree he did a really good job with what he was given. I liked his line reading of "You're desperate" and the scene where he reveals himself as (Kathy?) was nicely acted.
Heh, yeah. I noticed after I 'capped the pics that those were definitely a woman's hips, and not Raul's.
I get the feeling that they sacrificed a number of expository scenes in favor of the character scenes between Goren and Eames. Viewers seem to love 'shipping those two, it seems.
Couple of amusing comments on one of the CI boards: "When the killer's face was shown in profile in shadows, the shape of the nose gave it away."
LOL! Yes, that nose is nothing if not distinctive!
And "What cemented the killer for me was the scene where our mysterious redhead was looking out through the blinds. She was holding them open with definite manhands."
