Actually, also, why are there 7 males listed, but only 6 females? They always do 6 & 6. 13 is not an even number either, so it has nothing to do with Lance Bass & his preference in partner.

I've heard Misty May-Treanor say that she is DYING to go on DWTS. She has openly discussed her desire to go on the show.

Brian is right, its widely known she's wanted to be on the show for quite a while. It seems to be a a good choice for both parties. may gets to do something fun she's wanted to do for a while and she raises her post/non olympic public profile and DWTS gets to say they have a 2 time olypic gold medalist on the show, IMMEDIATELY after the olympics.

as for the others

Mark McGrath just got fired form Extra (or whatever entertainment news show he was on) so he needs a new job

Ms. Sex Tape and Big Ass is well, just that, Ms. Sex Tape and Big Ass, so she's got to something to try and stay "famous" and now that she's 'settled down' with Reggie, another sex tape is probably out of the question.

Lance Bass. Umm, lets hear it for the SAG.

Toni Braxton I feel like i've read that she's wanted to be on the show as well, although its a little suprising conisdering she cancelled her sit down vegas show because of heart problems

Susan Lucci This one confuses me. Isn't DWTS filmed in LA? Isn't she still on AMC? cause thats filmed in NYC. Although Cameron was on it a couple years ago, so i guess its doable.

I read in the Dallas Morning News several weeks ago that Lance will not be dancing with a male partner. (I tried to find a link to the story but was unable.)

Where the hell are the STARS? I only recognized like three of those people, and one of them was Cloris Leachman...and come on, she should be doing movies, not dancing with Z-listers.

Yeah, she doesn't belong on this show at all. Actually, if she really is going to do it, she will officially be the oldest celebrity contestant ever on the show so far. I just looked her up in IMDB to make sure I was correct that she was on Lassie at some point in her career, and I found out that she's 82 years old. Good for her though if she can still do stuff like this, because my grandma is only a couple of years older than her, and she is afraid of electricity.

Well, I was wondering which Disney star they would get! (Cody Linley from Hannah Montana) I was hoping for another Cheetah Girl! When I heard there was a MTM star rumored, I was hoping it would be Valerie Harper or Georgia Engel because they both can dance. I never thought Cloris Leachman- but then again, she can do anything! Nadia Comeneci said she wanted to do it but nobody asked. Anyway, definitely a lot of pseudo-"stars" this year!
