Who is teaching American Lit H at LVA nowadays? Not that it matters, since Hampton is gone and the English program is likely now in shambles. Also, good luck with trig/precalc. That class killed my soul.
I have callbacks for Rent tonight! Psyched. It was the first time I've auditioned for the drama department here at Vassar... kind of intimidating, because you audition in front of the production teams of three shows AND all the seniors who are involved for their senior projects (onstage or backstage), so it was like "Oh hey, 25 people all watching me attempt to act." Didn't really feel like it went well, but I got two callbacks... I'm assuming that means I got called back for a lead, which is awesome. I really, really want this show...
As for classes, well, I'm an English major now, so:
Classics in Modern Children's Literature (English, with a professor who crossed himself when mentioning Judy Garland, and discussed his love for Sondheim... amazing)
Selected Author: William Faulkner (English)
Bassani's Garden: Il Giardinio dei Finzi-Contini (Italian)
House Divided: US 1830-1890 (History)
Literature of the American Renaissance (English)
Composition & the Craft of Choreography (Dance)
And of course, my noncredit dance classes... ballet four days a week, modern one day a week (sob, can't fit in the second day), and dance company a million days a week. I can't wait for dance company to start... we're doing a Balanchine rep piece this year and Merrill Ashley (!! !!!!!) is coming down to set it. Hopefully I'll get into that...
see you all next month when I come back here
The former lilprima2b... I can't figure out how to get my password emailed to me, so here we go.
