Mmm, mac and cheese. The kind they have in my campus store isn't very good, so I kind of miss it. But I made a yummy potato omelette thingy today. I know there's a proper name for it, but I don't remember what it is.

Hmmm, I'm not so much about the eggage. One time I saw this Magic Schoolbus episode on PBS where the class went inside an egg and saw how it was made. Ever since then, it's been a no-go on any eggs that aren't used for baking purposes. (How's that for banal?) But I'm happy for you. banal thread

How an egg was made? Interesting choice of words...

This reminds of a joke:

The chicken and the egg are laying in bed. The chicken is smoking a cigarette with a satisfied smile on its face while the egg is frowning and looking slightly annoyed.
The egg mutters "Well I guess that answers that riddle".

Just to note, I made it there and back, but I was drenched.

Was your campus flooded? I remember one day last year I had to wade through- no joke- calf-deep water to get to the concert hall to work.

The campus is on a hill, so there were just rivers flowing down the sidewalks. But this one side street I had to walk down was flooded; the cars were halfway up their hubcaps in water.

And as soon as I walked out of my building, I had horizontal rain being blown into my back. :/

I'm going to Michigan tomorrow. Michigan in itself is the ultimate in banality, second only to perhaps Ohio. But the family's there and I haven't been home since January.

SorryGrateful, you're forgetting such luminaries as Nebraska and Oklahoma, where poor Addy has been stuck. :)

I'm reading Don Quixote (got to finish it to write that essay), and drinking another decidedly unhealthy Dr. Pepper.

sorry, it could be worse...you could be going to Michigan in January, when I am...

sorry, where is your family from? (or did I already know, and forgot?)

Plum, you're right that Nebraska is banal, but let me remind you that Ohio is both banal and full of hicks. *shudder*

I like my flatmates, but I am really *^&% sick and tired of hearing their music all the time. Especially because for people equipped with computers, they do seem to play an awful lot of the same old American pop.

It has been so long since I have heard "pop" music I don't even know what it sounds like now, and I am happy about that.

I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.

Well, I haven't listened to the radio since high school, but my flatmates sure do like the stuff. I think I've heard Madonna's new single 37 times. Stupid ABBA sampling.

I only knew Madonna had an album because of all the threads on here that I never open.
That is so sad for you, I might have to push one of them out the window.

OK, well, I can beat that. My lovely roommate who is a wonderful person, when she first discovered my OCR of Wicked had it in her room and played Defying Gravity and The Wizard and I every single morning and evening. Loudly. I actually liked those songs until then.
