If it means anything. I've seen a lot of very talented people work extremely hard and get no place.
At the end of the day, whatever your choice...at least you can say you tried. Take pride in that.
Hey, if you did porn, I'd buy it!
Well, just thought I'd bump this thread.
My musical audition did not result in any casting, but I received a very nice e-mail from the director complimenting me on my audition, and I heard through a third party that the musical director was impressed as well.
So no throwing in the towel yet.
I'll be setting up an audition for the Chicago Light Opera Works, and although I don't have a classical trained voice, their upcoming season does include a Kurt Weil review, and "Kiss Me Kate." Hopefully I might be a candidate for one of the gangsters in the latter production.
That said, I have just been offered casting in a production of HAMLET, to perform the role of Hamlet's Father's Ghost (great monologue) and a couple of smaller roles.
VERY excited about this project!

Most excellent, Windy!
But I do have to say that I am sort of going through the same thing that you were going through a month ago (Despite the rather large age gap between us). I am very hard on myself as an actor, believing that I have little to no worth, even though it's REALLY what I want to do. Hopefully, an acting class that I'm taking this semester will help.
Keep on being Funkadelic, Windy!
Good for you, Windy! As they used to say, "The ghost walks!"
Congrats WCA !!!

That may be true Cruel Sandwich, but can't that be worded more tactfully? Some thoughts:
--I know you're Depeche Mode, and i can still eat A La Mode without gaining weight....
--Although you remember Will Smith when he had that goofy Fresh Prince haircut...
--Even though you and my mother can reminisce about Reaganomics...
