re: Toddlers and Tiaras

I do remember the episode with the girl whose mother would not do all the fake stuff. She was naturally pretty, which I wish these pageants would emphasize. A child who is made up to look like Malibu Barbie is fake pretty. I mean, they could be pretty enough without all the fakeness.

The closeted (I assume) gay dad from West Virginia sure was something.

I would never have seen this show were it not for this thread.

Three words that should never be uttered together: child + beauty + pageant.

Three others: and + starring + Madonna.

^^ so true, Namo.

This show bothers me. How can parents do this to their children? It is just sick.

It's not Stockard. I've seen that little girl before. So frightening.

Oh my God. That looks just like Swan from the documentary "Living Dolls." Or Kim Zolciak at age six.

If you think this show is scary, watch "Living Dolls."

re: Toddlers and Tiaras

I really hope she's doing okay...she had it rough, with that screwy family and losing her mom at such a tender age.

re: Toddlers and Tiaras

Her mom died? I didn't really do that much research. That's a shame.

re: Toddlers and Tiaras

i think if the child wants to do it the parent should let her, but also the parent should not force it on the child. the parent should be very supportave of what the child wants to do. my daughter told me she wants to do it so im going to let her untill she wants to stop. my daughter was doing gymnasticts at 2 1/2 and she loves it now she wants to dance so im gonna let her so in the padgent shes gonna be in at 3 1/2 she will be able to do it or not do it if she wants. but the parents who get greatly mad furrious or disapointed with their kid for not doing something right at 2 years old should get smacked

I just LOVE the director of this show. They just showed one family that had three children AND the mother who are entering the pageant. They are home schooled and they just watched their pet snake being fed, before they could eat their own dinner.

The all watched as the snake swallowed a huge rat in one gulp. Then the camera panned the plate of lasagna they were going to eat. LOL!!!!

re: Toddlers and Tiaras

Oh I love this show. sick sick sick!

They just showed an infant who can't walk yet, being held up by her mother. She was wearing a giant gown which was heavily bejeweled and reminded me of something a Las Vegas showgirl would wear. The dress was heavier than the kid and all you saw was huge beads and glitter with a baby in it! Love it!

Then they had a girl who just got her new false teeth they all wear. Only hers don't fit right - when she smiles I had to laugh. Love all this!
