re: Toddlers and Tiaras

Actually- I think all of these moms are delusional- that's the point of this show. Sure, there are some very pretty little girls- but that's all they have going for them! The "talents" are absolutely HORRIBLE! (Cassidy's magic show? really- no stage personality whatsoever!) The modeling is pathetic as no model walks like that on the runway! They should at least teach these girls to model for real- instead of robotic. Oh- I could go on..... And yet, my daughter and I watch together!

re: Toddlers and Tiaras

Did you notice that during her "magic act", Cassidy smirked and made other annoying faces each time she did a "trick?" and she sped through the routine like she was phoning it in.

Mind you, they gave this girl awards and trophies-this girl who stood on line sticking her tongue out and practically spitting on the other little girls.

Nothing like rewarding bad behavior.

My roommate and I watch this every single week. It is our favorite show.

Cassidy's mother last night was absolutely unbelievable. I'm not sure I've seen a worse mother on that show (except the mother who favored one twin, but at least she was ok with taking her daughter out when she was acting up). Running over crowns? Letting her daughter slap her? Unbelievable.

re: Toddlers and Tiaras

That video is so funny.

Yeah, I was mostly talking about last night's episode in general. I do agree that most of the girls on this show are talentless, and that's what is sad. Generally, my mother never really said no if me or my sisters wanted to try something when we were little, whether it was dance, Girl Scouts, sports, or whatever else. She did sign me up for dance lessons when I was 4, but it was because I think I wanted to and was always dancing around the house in my little tutu. LOL! I don't remember what happened with that decision.

But, I guess my point is that we always had fun, and we were never pressured to be the best or to stay in something if we didn't want to. It doesn't seem like the girls on this show have anything else besides the pageants, which they should.

I have no idea if any of this made sense or not. It's been a very long day, hence why I responded in the 4 o'clock hour this morning. And yay for Grey's Anatomy rerun which might keep me awake in nightmare form again, like it did the first time around.

re: Toddlers and Tiaras

i love the diva moment vs. temper tantrum thing lol

next time i'm babysitting my friend's 3 year old and she starts to go all little-kid-emo on me when i tell her she needs to go to bed, i'm just going to let my friend know her daughter had a diva moment at bed time.

(a shudder went down my back thinking of this kid and the word "diva" in the same sentance... this is the same three year old who told me she wanted to me a rock star for halloween 2 weeks ago... and when i asked what kind of rock star she wanted to be, she informed me that she wanted to be a scary ghost rock star and proceded to make what i can only think to call a zombie face.)

re: Toddlers and Tiaras

Bumping this up because I've been watching it again, and it is even worse than ever.

And does anyone else was Little Miss Perfect on Wetv? I watched an episode that I missed from last week last night, and I was laughing when the one girl fell off the stage. Okay, it wouldn't be funny if she was badly hurt, but it seemed very much like she was being over-dramatic. It also made me think how much more important winning and competing was for her instead of safety. I also couldn't stand her because she was so full of herself and her beauty.

re: Toddlers and Tiaras

Ha! I just started watching Little Miss Perfect- it's so pathetic! Wow Wear- WTF? and that guy who runs the pageant makes me laugh when he "sings" to the contestants. The mothers seem even more pathetic. I love how they say "We do pageants" and "We need to get ready" as if they are also competing! And yet, I watch!

re: Toddlers and Tiaras

Oh I think this show is better than ever. I love it! Why? Because they are not glorifying nor condoning these stupid pageants. They are deliberately revealing just how unhappy the little girls are and how focused they are on being "better" than the other girls because of how they look, how sick the mothers are and how they have no control over their children, how they are creating spoiled brat entitled monsters, how pathetic the judges are, how the parents are willing to spend thousands on a used dress, how disgusted everyone is when they lose, oh I could go on and on.

Bravo to those producers!

re: Toddlers and Tiaras

It is back tonight. I can't believe these mothers. The one was letting her 6 or 7 year old drink an energy drink. What is wrong with these women? As I recall, most have warning labels for adults. To me, it is almost the equivilent to letting your child drink alcohol. Disgusting. I wonder if it was the show's idea or the company that produces the drink to bleep out the name.

And that other little girl is just completely out of control. There is absolutely no reason she should be running around screaming wherever she is.

re: Toddlers and Tiaras

I'm starting a drinking game, taking a shot of Red Bull every time she screams for her ni-ni. And everytime her clueless parents use the words "...so we let her do whatever she wants" to end a sentence.

I LOL'd at the card that said "ni-ni = pacifier" that they showed, though. Just in case you forgot about her screaming for it from five minutes ago.

I love this show.

re: Toddlers and Tiaras

Why the hell is that little girl still using a pacifier? I can't believe they have allowed for that awful behavior! I see Eden is there- in the background- I love that little girl- she is a pro! I also can't believe these moms give these little girls all these things that they think give them energy when all those things do is make you crash soon after. And yet, I watch!

I get sucked into watching because it is the train wreck you just can't get enough of.

I think this was the 3rd pageant that Eden Wood has been in on this show. Well, the first one was following her, but she was also in another episode and won that one too. She has a facebook page too, which is a tad bit creepy, in my opinion. That's just asking for creepy people to stalk her.

I caught a preview of this season last week and was just apalled. I have seen clips of the show and just wonder why this mess is on tv and why there isn't some intervention! It's awful!

re: Toddlers and Tiaras

I feel like a T&T mum right now.
my little one loves dance and i mean, loves it. so, although she started even younger i allowed recital this year (at 4) but...looking at her (well all of them) at dress last night i thought of this show. sequins and tutus with make up galore, sparkles, hairspray....i WAS not on the side lines doing a flap ball change and making the smiley face gesture though. ha ha. i will never be that mum. i teach, but she is 4 and it should be fun.

i guess the only solace is that it is once a year for now. i love the official photos for me and i am proud, but my husband shakes his head. it is a bit of a dichotomy.

I am. The mom with the 2 girls picked out really awful outfits for the Outfit of choice portion.
