Frankly, she deserves it.

What kind of Italian Mama is she if she puts up with that SH*T from her son?

My mother would have whacked me with her shoe if I ever behaved like that.

Robbie, that's fabulous (the closet thang) and I hope you get the opportunity to do your thing! I recently had someone design my 5x8 bedroom closet and I couldn't believe the transformation. They were so creative and really maximized my storage. My fave was the shelving and the slide out chrome basket for all of my handbags.

Robbie, if your show does come to fruition, I'd love for my closet (and actually whole condo) to become one of your test projects!!

Did he (Rocco) have work done? He looked totally different to me than he did on his show. His forehead had a lack of movement. I'm still upset he bit into a semi-frozen meatball, for shame.

Here's an excerpt from an interview with Anthony Bourdain, in which Bourdain shares some of his opinions about Rocco:

"...I think Rocco DiSpirito has really raised the bar for what I consider grotesque.

Q: What did you think of his show, The Restaurant ?

I thought it was a horrifying, mesmerizing, public act of self-destruction. That restaurant is the most shameful and horrifying exercise in post-ironic cynicism. You know, his cynical use of his aging mom, he crossed the line. He's now the most despised chef in New York. He's not allowed in his own restaurant, he's been barred from the premises, he lost a star at Union Pacific. It's a real flame out, because he's an incredibly talented chef.

Q: So what happened to him?

He went over to the dark side. I think he's like a lot of guys who want to be famous really badly, want to be on TV really badly and made the mistake of thinking that TV would make him look good. After they made him look like an idiot the first season, I believe he actually thought that by doing a second season he could correct the bad impression he left in the first. Which is of course, the last thing TV wants to do. They want to make entertainment and drama, even when none exists. I was on that show for one segment. Eric Ripert, the brilliant chef at Le Bernardin, dragooned me into going as a diner. I think my key lines were, "This blows. This utterly blows."

I never watched The Restaurant, but is it wrong that after reading this, I sort of really wish I had? (if only to observe the crash and burn of Rocco)

PA, I watched it, he was a psycho. The owner was equally obnoxious. And, there is Hell's Kitchen, another thread!

Tom Colicchio really gets on my nerves. His attitude is always like he has a stick up his a**.

For the record, I still wanna lick Dale all over all nice like.

And you simply must go to the Top Chef website and check out Bourdain's brilliant blog on the subjects. Hilarious!

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

Bourdain's blog is fantastic! I have always found him utterly unbearable...but I'm startin' to come 'round.

And Dale IS delicious. Especially when he's c*nty to the servers!

And, I'm sorry, but I just want CJ to wrap those exceedlingly long limbs around me and tell me it's all gonna be ok!

Loved last night's episode!

Was anyone else a little suprised that Howie wasn't in the bottom with Dale and Brian? I would have thought he'd be there, considering how many times he's been in the bottom.

Can't wait for next week's episode.

Well...there wasn't really a bottom. Just some shady suspense-building.

ANOTHER week where Howie escapes elimination. He got along better with the group, however.

Dale is indeed adorable, but I still cant understand why he sports the cockadoodledoo look...oh, wait....okay.

I'm so glad I found this thread-I am a total Top Chef junkie!! (I also have a little crush on Chef Collichio (sp?)) :) I thought the week Joey was eliminated was a travesty!! Why is Sara still around? She never really produces anything exciting to them. Anyhow-this weeks restaurant challenge was interesting--can't wait to see how it turns out. I think Sara's asking to be head chef is going to come back to haunt her--hopefully she'll go home next!
