This is our favorite show of the Summer! Who else loves it?
This season was definitely better than last. I'm enjoying it alot. Favorites of mine would have to be Tre and CJ. I'm just glad that I oculd get into this show again, it was really losing me during season 2!

We had a near tragedy here, Bravo was out most of the night!
the difference between the prior two seasons and season three is that there isn't a clear winner... most people thought that Harold and Sam would win at this point... I really like Hung and I think that he is the most talented of the Chefs there, I really like CJ, and I think Howie has a real chance of winning...
I love it. My favorites are Tre, Casey and Sara M.
Hung can be an ass and he can't take criticism. He thinks thinks that EVERYTHING he does is great but he ended up in the bottom four last week which was good to see. I do think that he is talented but a little humility would be nice.
It's no surprise that one of Hung's very good friends is Marcel Vigneron, last season's runner-up. They truly are two-of-a-kind: they both think that they can do no wrong, and always end up blaming someone else when they put forth mediocre food.
I find Dale dreamy...totally dreamy. And I was suprised with the result of last night's show. I don't think that chef should have gone home just yet.

Me too, robbie. Howie's partner (Sara?) should have gone. She hadn't shown us a damn thing this season.
Rocco looked cute but he's such an obnoxious @sshole.
Eh...Rocco so doesn't do it for me. He's a little too precious. Ya know? Though I appreciate he doesn't do that 'hypermasculine' thing so many chefs do. What the f*ck is that? Is it some sort of protection against the feminine aspects of cooking? I mean, yeah, Colicchio, I get it...your straight. And Bourdain? Don't even get me started!
Dale IS cute...but the cockatiel hairdo aint doin' it for me.
Hung, who isnt, could've gone home last night...that would've been fine with me. I am not as impressed with him as most are. He is not that great a chef. I think, as far as aholes go, Marcel and Steven were better.
Dale has been doing well lately, and I'm hoping he pulls a Dave and gets in the finals, tho I doubt he could win. Who knows with this group.
How weird was that "chat" with the three seasons last week...that Andy Cohen is a tool!

It WAS weird! Andy Cohen is a tool, and he's cross-eyed...which is really distracting.
It seemed like it was badly thrown-together filler. Anyway, it's too early in the season for any kind of reunion episode.
Leanne looked fantastic, though, didn't she?! Complete transformation.

I mean...he's CROSSEYED!!! What the F*CK?? I'm sitting at home thinking, 'This one is on TV and I'm on my couch in underwear??? No justice.'
As for Hung, he's just not Assholey enough...nor does he really seem all that spectacular a chef. I think, like a guy I went to college with, he made himself out to be so good that others just bought into it. Now, we're seeing that the he's talented, but not nearly the superstar he thinks.
Okay, Andy Cohen, is a tool...but I bet he looks good naked...I digress.
LeAnn looked GREAT and I was surprised they didnt mention her weight loss.
Robbie, I agree about Hung. Last night especially, he proved he is no badass, which was his character to play, even in the promos.
"I couldnt get him to listen to me....waa waaa waaaa!" Sheesh...grow a pair!
It was fun to watch Hung and Joey--the two self-proclaimed "badasses"--last night. One whined like a little girl because his partner wouldn't listen to him, and the other blubbered like a baby when he was eliminated. That said, Joey shouldn't have been eliminated. It should've been Hung or Howie.
***Spoiler***
The major problem I had with Joey going home was that, in the end, he's relatively self-aware. He recognized his mistake and admitted that he's not the best listener. Both Hung and Sara M. don't seem to truly get what their problems were...how each caused the major breakdown in their teams. If your teammate is getting that the only way to make this challenge work is to flash freeze each component separately, it's your job (if you want to be called Top Chef) to make sure they understand that. And, I'm sorry, but if you're a passive-aggressive complainer who adds nothing to the dish, you deserve to be sent home.
Joey made a decision...it was the wrong decision, but Hung, who knew better, was weak and namby pamby about it. I blame him for the failure of that dish...not Joey.
AND, I dont think Joey was that difficult....this time around. Hung came off as if he let the dish fail to expose Joey's weakness.
Coliccio (jackass) seemed like he was most disappointed in Hung...I really thought he or Sara were going.
I think you hit the nail right on the head, Robbie. I couldn't agree with you more.
I was absolutely shocked it was Joey. The way it was edited, it didn't show Joey being a c*ck or anything. And it didn't show Hung being at all forceful. The breakdown was his fault...at least as shown on TV.
And Sara M? Just useless.

Robbie, I agree. Also, I think the producers have not portrayed Joey fairly. It seemed that the other chefs were fond of him and I loved his tears.
I think that Joey certainly had his faults, but I believe he also was really open to criticism and examining those faults. I really respect someone who can do that...particularly on television. Hung and Sara were just excus-tionists (I think I've made up a new word!). I find that kind of behavior appalling and perhaps the worst trait of all to possess if one is to be a leader. And being a Top Chef means not only cooking beautifully and imaginatively, but also leading your staff to working to their potential.

Me too! And Howie had every right to lace into Sara during judging. She brought it all on herself. What did she do except bitch and chop peppers for a frigging hour?
I hated Joey at first but he grew on me. The one thing I didn't like is that "F*CKin'" is his favorite adjective. I curse, too, but it's like he didn't think twice about using it in everyday conversation at the judging table, which wasn't all that appropriate ('I worked really f-ckin' hard', etc.). I'd let him cook for me any day of the week, though. I also like how he was able to become good friends with Howie even though they had issues at first.
I have to say that I was grossed out by Howie sweating so profusely into his food while cooking. Ugh.

Sara M. should've gone home. She has yet to produce a single dish that the judges even fine remotely satisfactory. Hung, more annoying than asshole, is not as impressive as he thinks he is. Robbie, you def summed him up. Joey was a cop out. He's made some good dishes and should not have gone home. I'm rooting for CJ, Howie, or Tre. (ohhhh Tre, you can do sooo much for me, both in the kitchen and out.)
Sara should have gone home. Joey was a blubbering fool. Hung really doesn't annoy me all that much. But if he knew to "IQF" everything, he should have insisted, though I think it would have improved the dishes overall consistency, but not taste.
Tre is a delicious piece of mochachocalatteyaya. And I loved his 'black people know how to cook chicken' crack. Edgy racial humor gets me every time.
I was warming up to Howie...until I, like blueroses, saw him SWEAT INTO THE FOOD HE WAS MAKING!
I mean...is it a salt substitute???
