Neither one of us looks remotely the same now, so I'm posting this.
Indeed Jane, wicked hot. Maybe we need to start a Chris Ciccone thread, since we have thread-jacked this innocent Top Chef thread. :)He was a handsome man.
You're right, we did thread-jack. I'm just in shock at the difference in his appearance!
Please go back to Top Chef, folks.
DALE! SLEEP INSIDE ME!!!
That better?
No Dale, sleep with me!!!! :)
Like Dale would sleep with a Betty Buckley fan.
He's Team Peters ALL THE WAY!
Yes, he was pretty pretty indeed!
Maintenance, Chris, Maintenance!
Get on the cardio machine!
(I'm gloating because I lost over 20 pounds since Memorial Day.)

I think Dale is team Parton of which I am a member. :) Choose me, Dale!!!
Oh please. EVERYONE on our team is apart of Team Parton. You're gonna have to do better than that.

I'm a little surprised. I though they'd give CJ the boot.

I was kind of surprised that Trey was eliminated, too, especially since he's been fairly consistent throughout. CJ definitely deserved to go.
I was kind of surprised that Dale dressed as casual as he did, but as Ted was berating him for wearing jeans, I couldn't help but notice he was wearing jeans as well. I really don't care for Ted Allen at all. If he never appeared on Queer Eye we probably wouldn't have ever heard of that pompous slack.

Dottie, I really like Ted Allen. He's a bit finicky, but he seems a lot nicer than Colicchio. I didn't mind Dale's jeans. I think he could have worn a nice button-down shirt, though, and he would have been fine. Ted did compliment him on his great tableside service and professional demeanor at the front of the house. Dale did a great job.
I miss Gayle from Food & Wine Magazine. Love her! Where's she been?

I am so mad that Tre's gone. He was my favorite next to Dale. I agree that CJ probably deserved to go, if it was between him and Tre, then definitely CJ would go. I also thought that Brian had a bit of a chance at leaving too.
Yes, where is Gayle. I do like Ted Allen, but I have to say I really question his credentials. His degrees are in journalism and psychology. He used to make appetizers on "Queer Eye" but they were almost always lame and basic and would never win a quick fire (proscuitto wrapped melon, apples with balsamic vinegar, "bitch, please!"). I think he is basically a queen who eats out alot and has lots of opinions. He is nicer and friendlier than Tom, but he can get bitchy when he wants.
I am glad Sara won, and I like that she took responsibility for the kitchen. I was ok with Tre leaving. He talked a good game but he delivered alot of disappointing food. Plus, the night before the challenge he was all "I can make bread pudding in my sleep" and then he backtracked at judges panel. I think that showed the overconfidence that the panel spoke of.
Chris Ciccone is still a d*#kweed. He's not even friendly.
Bettyboy, I was surprised about the bread pudding comment only to have it fail miserably. Pastry background or no background, bread pudding isn't all the difficult to make, and it's so accomodating for one to put their own flair into it.
I could not believe how long it took for Casey to chop those onions.
"Chris Ciccone is still a d*#kweed. He's not even friendly."
He always had an attitude, even in 1984 when I met him.
But I will say one thing in his defense-at 25, he was the best cook I knew. He knows from whence he criticizes.
I think Tre deserved to go. He may have stepped up by being Chef, but that's not nec. CJs fault. Dale picked his team and didnt make himself chef either. Not one of their dishes was liked by the judges or the patrons...EXCEPT Casey's soup...why didnt they critique that? Tre's salmon was the worst dish of the night apparently, and he sent out alot of bad food.
I think Dale looked GREAT! His shirt was hot. I always want my waiters showing a bit of chest hair
Doodle, they probably critiqued Casey's soup, and most likely it was edited out.
I know, Dottie, but it was the only thing everyone liked...it seemed very one sided, and at least Casey might've recieved some kind words...Even before eliminating Tre, when they describe everyones faults, they didnt mention it.
Why show the patrons and judges eating the soup, if it wont be part of the critique?
Just seems odd to me.

The highlight for me was seeing Stephen the sommelier back in action!
Stephen is still a chatty Cathy, but I love his enthusiasm. Ever since he apologized to Candace from Season One I have been smitten with him
I still use that quote:
"You're a tool, and a douchbag!"
