I was on the edge of my seat when Dale and Malarkey were in the hypothetical bottom two. Dale has made some really nice looking dishes this season and very creative (I wanted that chicken and dumplings!). And Malarkey is OK too, even if he is a bit of a spaz. I think Sara is the weakest at this point, closely followed by Howie due to his inflexibility. Other than that though, I think it's pretty fair game. This group is talented.
My favorites are Tre, CJ, Dale. Hung is hanging by a thread for me, but I liked his shrimp burger concept last night.

When it was down to Dale and Brian, my boyfriend and I knew they weren't going to eliminate anyone. There's no way they'd eliminate someone for 'front of house' disasters, when there was some truly bad cooking going on.
And, going back to last week's episode, did anyone else think Brian was coked to the gills during the challenge?? He was red, splotchy and totally wired.

Posted: 8/16/07 at 12:16pmBrian was insane last week. Definitley drunk, at least.

Oh grrrl...that wasn't drunk. TRUST ME...something else was goin on.
It probably snowed in Miami that night.

Posted: 8/16/07 at 5:31pmI thought Casey would have been great working the front of the restaurant. She seems very personable, knowledgeable and calm.
#84re: Top Chef 2007
Posted: 8/16/07 at 7:50pmI agree , Brian was horrible. I was surprised about how calm it seemed Howie and Hung were.

Does anyone know if they'll re-air last night's episode? I just found out an old friend of mine was one of the diners and made some nasty remarks about the candles and the meat! I want to see this!
Never mind-I looked it up-it'll be on Sunday at 1 pm.

Just watched the episode last night. I was bored to death!
#87re: Top Chef 2007
Posted: 8/17/07 at 9:37amI still have to watch. I haven't seen my friend for around 15 years and he's changed drastically (looks-wise).

Jane2 - does your friend have a bit of a continental accent (I couldn't place the locale, but perhaps European). If that was him, he was on quite a bit! At one of his comments I was like "Oh SNAP!" It was funny.

I had a feeling there would be a do-over. I knew neither Dale or Brian were going home after the "Bear PosterBoy" Tom Colicchio said the decision needed to be based on food. I love Dale, but he does have the air of trailer park gay and he made some bad decor choices. I think his team assumed the gay could do it-not this time.
It was nice to find out the Brian had BO. Although, Padme was was quick to defend him by adding that she didnt smell him. (She must want to hook up with him.)
I look forward to next week.

After years with Salman, can you blame her for going after a cute, young sweaty cokefiend?
And I loves me some Trailer Gay. We Jersey Gays need someone to look down upon!
By the way, Jane, this is how the afterelton recapper for TC07 described your friend:
'This Mean Queen of a customer wraps his candle in a napkin and places it on the floor, announcing he now needs a new napkin. He’s clearly the kind of self-satisfied jerk who likes to impress his dates by being as cruel as possible to wait staff. Apparently he's the brother of the Queen of Queens, Madonna. The lack of a phoney English accent threw me at first, but then you can see the family resemblance. He talks to waitpersons the way Madge talks to her backup dancers.'

Posted: 8/17/07 at 1:03pmRobbiej, I thought that was Chris Ciccone. Thanks for clearing that up. I guess being the queeny brother of a mega-star icon gives you the right to treat people like crap. I didn't recognize him due to the fact that he looked bloated and was being such a beeeyotch.

Isnt he a beeyotch because his sister wont support him anymore?
Shame, I used to think he was cute.

And, I have to tell you, if one really wants to pull off Queen Bitch, one should really be witty and/or funny.
He wasn't even remotely clever.
#94re: Top Chef 2007
Posted: 8/17/07 at 1:56pmI used to have a crush on him back in the "Truth or Dare" days-he seemed really cool and sweet. I guess he got bloated and bitchy once the Madge gravy train came to a screeching halt.
#95re: Top Chef 2007
Posted: 8/17/07 at 2:11pmAnd he now has a little bit of David Guest Damage.

Robbie-yes, I read all the reviews on Christopher. I can easily believe them, too. The more money and fame he got, the less I like him. We were best friends for 11 years, and for most of that time he was really cool and generous.
Back then he was absolutely gorgeous-face and body-wise! Time hasn't been kind. He stopped contacting me once he relocated to LA. I want to see how bad he looks and acts now!

I mean...he doesn't look like the Yeti or anything. But quite a bit of bloom is off the rose. And if you're going to be c*nty, be funny, too.
But look at the genes. The funny bone seems to be conspicuously missing from the Ciccone family tree.

Posted: 8/17/07 at 2:21pmMadonna has the same addictive/compulsive tendencies as her whacked out sibs. She just channeled hers into her insane work ethic, her music, and her killer body and dance moves.

Well speaking of genes, back in the "day", he had all the Ciccone family looks. I met the whole family and he was the best looking. Now he's the worst. He used to have a body type like M's, and his face was much prettier. He's gained so much weight, lost so much hair, and even his formerly big eyes with the long black curly lashes seem like slits in his potato face.
You can believe me that guys would practically bow down to him when we walked around. He really was hot. Compared to then, he does look like yeti.
