re: Top Chef Chicago

Yikes haha. During the show last night she was sitting at a weird angle, and her hair was hanging down. The double chin was gone and she looked somewhat decent. She needs to grow that mane out.

re: Top Chef Chicago

It would suck if the show's producers, in the name of having an all-female final three, sent Richard home.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

Same here!
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

re: Top Chef Chicago

My bad for starting a new thread.

...thoughts? Are spoilers allowed this soon after it's aired? haha

re: Top Chef Chicago

lol all I meant was are we allowed to discuss details; I actually missed the elimination so I'm re-watching now :) haha but I'm never bothered by knowing who gets eliminated, it actually makes watching less "stressful" :)

re: Top Chef Chicago

I absolutely dislike "Grease-a" more than any other reality show contestant ever. I mean I liked Wendy Pepper more! Just when I start to accept her, she opens her mouth and says that.

re: Top Chef Chicago

I don't dislike Lisa, but that whole "don't I deserve to be congratulated" thing was ridiculous. Stephanie had better win. I don't think I can stand Richard taking the title--talk about someone who congratulates himself every chance he gets.

Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

re: Top Chef Chicago

I don't get why Antonia was eliminated instead of Lisa. For undercooked beans and using one plate? The plating was just an excuse to dump her so they can keep the "underdog" of Lisa around. Lisa's been a staple in the bottom for weeks... Antonia's been proven to be a strong contender.

Of course the negative Lisa talk thoughout the show made me realize she'd be spared. I don't mind Richard, but I am soooo Team Stephanie. They've been hinting at a female winner all season and I don't think Lisa is a strong enough chef to take the lead over the others.

re: Top Chef Chicago

If you look at everything cumulatively, then yes, Lisa deserved to go home. But the show isn't cumulative. Based on the individual challenge, they liked Lisa's food more than Antonia's--I thought that was clear from Judge's Table--and so they sent Antonia home. This isn't the first time a strong and well-liked contestant has been sent home while a weaker contestant has remained (ie, Tre last season).

re: Top Chef Chicago

Logically, I get that, AC. But Lisa's perma-scowl has altered my thinking! :P

re: Top Chef Chicago

I'm kind of sorry Antonia is out of there, especially since she had a lot of wins as of late.

Lisa = skank. Honey, if people don't want to congratulate you, that's there prerogative. Richard had it right when he referred to her as the bronze medal winner.

re: Top Chef Chicago

I could have punched my TV screen when she said that....ugh! At the beginning of the season I was a Richard fan, but Stephanie has grown on me. As long as Lisa doesn't win, I'm happy!

I just finished watching the episode and all I have to say is, "ARE THEY FREAKING KIDDING ME????"

That's all.

I'm picking Stephanie. Richard seems to rely way too much on technology.

re: Top Chef Chicago

Um...how is Lisa there? And why isn't Antonia?

My bet is that Steph will win. Need a girl this time.

re: Top Chef Chicago

I hate Lisa! I wasn't happy when she stayed. I'd be fine with Richard or Steph. Maybe they will split the prize like they did in the other challenge.

re: Top Chef Chicago

I think Stephanie is going to win - she's the most solid contestant. Richard is in the top three, but he's finicky. And I'm really sorry Antonia had to go, I cannot stand Lisa. I wouldn't eat her food if I were trapped on a deserted island.
