Jessica was bleeding from the ears.

Thanks! I must not have noticed.

And that second lady werewolf (whose name I don't know - not Emma's Grandmother, the one who threesomed with Alcide and Ricki. I guess I'll call her Not-Ricki) was sooooo annoying last night.

Her name is Danielle, and she just needs to not be around. Not even a good actress.

Didn't love or hate last night. It was fine. I know many feel like the season premiere was more about setting up the season with exposition and little action but, to me, last night's episode was closer to that. Yes, a few considerably important events took place but it felt like a filler to me at times.

That being said, loved the scenes with the "Fairy Grandfather." He and Jason make a funny pairing. Hated the werewolves/Alcide and I'm just not jiving with these young activists for shifters. It's only their first episode so I need to give it time, but here's one more storyline that I probably won't care about!

And what's the point of rehashing Patrick's death? Shouldn't we be forgetting the Ifrit storyline?

Oh, right! I forgot about his wife until just now, but when she came in, I was not happy. Arlene needs a better story other than fretting over whatever trouble the Bellefleur men find.

I do love the actress who played the activist that approached Sam, though. I don't want more shifter shiz, though.

Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

Will there be a series of new rules every week? "You can do this but you can only do it once even though you're low on fuel you can regenerate it but once you use it you won't even be what you are anymore! Ready? Go!"

And a new power for Billith every week. I think talking to animals and appliances is the seventh episode.

Rutger Hauer can tell me what to do with my hands anytime.

That cracked me out loud.

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to any of the fairy stuff. If you're not 100% fairy, you're a 'halfling' whether you are really half or just have one drop or whatever like Sookie does. When they introduced the notion of a cap on her powers last year, I thought it was dumb, too.

I wonder if they're trying to invoke the idea of the One-Drop Rule with that, but not doing it right

I'm sure she will accidentally use her one ball (one-balls are beautiful, by the way) and then that very same ability to regenerate will suddenly work, surprise everybody, and somehow get the Supey Gang out of a very tight jam. Also, the Ben guy must be Warlow, right?

There's a lot overtly metaphorical stuff that I've been trying to ignore. Also, I think that earnest do-gooder who is after Sam (Nicole?) is probably a snake. Not necessarily literally one, but metaphorically one.

I bet that lady who plays Lilith was really excited to not be naked and covered in blood and actually get to have something close to a normal conversation with someone for once.

I wonder if they'll do a Season 5 Buffy with that. Ben by day, Warlow by night.
