To be fair, from our nosebleeds in the 300-section, the view may be closer to this:

Well, at least on the 7th, you won't have to walk across TS, you'll just walk down 44th...shouldn't be too hectic.

Oh, and I don't want any specific spoilers, but whatever you were chatting w/ Pat about...was it a good thing or just more bitching about *****DON'T READ ELPHIE!!!*****

Discotheque?!?!

Hmm...you know, if I catch the 8:15 shuttle, it arrives at Port Authority at 9:40, so assuming I'm dropped off first (which I should be), I probably won't get to the Shubert until 9:30. Do you know how many SRO tickets you're able to buy, in case the line-up is too long for me to join, or if I show up too late?

I'm not sure how many they sell, but they're 2 per person when the Box Office opens at 10...Technically, you don't even need to be there, but I figured it would probably be just as easy to meet up there than have you finangle your way down to my place solo. Does that make any sense??

Yup, it makes perfect sense. I was just afraid it was only one ticket per person, and I'd be sort of screwed. What time are you going to get there?

I don't know...as early as I can drag my ass out of bed! Depending on what the weather's like, I don't really have any problem getting there super-early. I'll just bring a book and my DellPod, and I'll be fine...If it's pouring rain and 50 degrees out...that's another issue entirely! I'll probably try to get there around 7-7:30 though. I've been reading horror stories about people getting there at 8 and getting shut out (and then others getting there at 9 and having no problem, so who knows!)

Assuming the weather's good, the wait shouldn't be too bad! I was outside the Palace for Aida since 7:30 one morning and it was almost pleasant! (And, my god, when the Rent tour was in town and it was a line-up lottery, I was there from 8am, waiting for a 6pm B.O. opening!)

Shall I bring sustenance from somewhere to help you out, or shall we go for breakfast/lunch afterwards?

It's up to you...if I'm in it for the long haul for tix, I usually bring a little something to snack on. I'm sure you'll be hungry after having plane food, so we can grab something, if you'd like. Tis up to you, m'dear.

Maybe I'll just grab a couple of bagels or muffins for us to share, and I can bring 'em when I meet up with you, and we'll go for a better lunch later on. (Dallas BBQ?) If we hit MOMA, Spamalot and 2U, we probably won't get a chance to eat until after Spam and before 2U, right?

Hey all!
I haven't been here for a while and I have, like, 20 pages to repond to, so I won't even try to say everything I could.

The Flea Market sounded like fun, Mabs. I've never managed to catch it, but I've always wanted to. I'm particularly jealous of your knome. <font color=red>Big Apple, here I come! (No more second thoughts!)

I can't believe the October concerts are so soon. That makes me excited because I feel like November is coming up!

I contacted 2 people on Interference selling tickets for 11/22 (they didn't specify prices in their posts so I emailed them). One offered a single for $290 and the other offered a pair for $200. I turned them both down; I really can't afford anything over the cheapest face value price range, so I'm hoping to get lucky at the box office that day.
I know there are a couple other sites for selling U2 tickets; can y'all remind me of what they are? They're saved as favorites as my computer at home but not on my laptop here, so I can't remember.

Hi Elphie! Where the hell have you been? Things going well? Don't worry about catching up on the last gazillion pages, it's mostly been New York planning and the like. (I'm stealing Nic away from you! Mwahaha...)

You best ask Nic for the other U2 ticket sites; I usually just followed Interference. I think there was one called www.u2tours.com, right?

Hey, Elphie!!!

It really pisses me off when people ask for more than face on interference. If they want to get more than face, go to eBay or craigslist. I have no problem w/ that, but going on a fan site and asking $400 for a pair of GA or something crazy like that just isn't right.

U2tours.com also sells tix in the forum, but be careful when you go there, as they post the setlist from the last show on the main page...I think.

The flea market was fun...I can't believe you've never been!

Tiff, I think the BBQ does thier early bird thing from 11-6 or something (and there are several locations)...they give you a SH*Tload of food, so a quick bagel to tide us over, and then a big-ish later lunch might tide us over until between shows (grab a quick slice?)
U2 tix for sale/trade

Well, believe it or not, I'm actually starting to have a life here! With real friends and everything! So I've been busy. But good.
And you'll never be able to steal her away from me! She was mine first, and will always belong to me. Mwahaha!
Thanks, U2tours.com was one!

But do you get to sleep with her? Didn't think so! <font color=red>Big Apple, here I come! (No more second thoughts!)

What I hate even MORE from people who sell above face on Interference is when they're all, "Uh, I'm just asking to sell for how much I paid on eBay, I'm not just marking up the price, I swear." Either you're so goddamn heedless and stupid that you dropped THAT much money on eBay tickets that you didn't really want, or you're just F*CKing with us.

I'm game for a quick slice. I won't be eating pizza until I get to NY, so I'm dying for pizza! (I heard John's on 44th is quite good too, right?)

*yelps, being tugged back and forth between Tiff and Elph!*

Glad to hear things have been going great for you, Elph!!! I've been spending far too much time here, but I'm just reserving my energy for the big week coming up. There's going to be a hell of a lot of running around! It's a damn shame you can't be here w/ us, Elph...though I suppose you probably wouldn't be able to make it from VA anyway, and that'd just be so much worse being sort-of close, right? How's the weather in NZ?? Getting warmer?

I enjoy John's (gotta love their white pizza w/ spinach)...though the fact that all the waiters wear shirts that say "No Slices," that may put a damper on the plan for Friday...oh, and that emoticon is frightening!

Well, if I were in Richmond, I probably would have come up for the weekend. I do that every once in a while, and I wouldn't want to miss this!
NZ is still pretty cold, but I've gotten used to it.
I have less than 3 weeks of classes left, which is scary.
And I love John's. <font color=red>Big Apple, here I come! (No more second thoughts!)
Oh, and 4th Rock was another one that I forgot about, so thanks!

Oh, ouch. Only whole pies??

And you love that emoticon. You know it.

Oh, and someone on Interference mentioned that this bar here is a cool Irish pub across the street from MSG, and that maybe some U2 fans would chill out there before the show. Does it seem worth while to spend one of our dinners there?

I know! I ordered the Spam OBCR a couple of months ago too, and I thought it was great! (Sara's good, but she's only got 3 songs, so I don't understand what could be so demanding that she has to blow off sporadic performances!)

Spam SRO was going to be for Friday, 10/7. Are you still gonna try to weasel your way outta time with your friends and hang out with me on 10/8 to catch a matinee?

Ellie, we're going to try for Friday night, 10/7...Are you going to be in the city Friday night?!? SH*T! I didn't even think to ask you if you wanted to go to that 2U thing. It's probably going to be very hokey, but it could be funny. Actually, they're supposed to be pretty good.

Even on 4th Rock there's nothing below $100 a ticket, even for the crappy seats! I hate that!
I'm off to class.
