Ever since the "hand-double" debacle I picture Tiff as Lucy Liu. I probably will until I see proof otherwise.
Hello Kitty or Pink Wabbit?
I just spent TWO HOURS in a traffic jam. I left here at 5:30, and only got back minutes ago. Who says Canada's sparse? 'Cause that's certainly not the case here!
[writes down] ...learned to become a scary, shouty person who can and will unleash on anybody...
I'm so screwed.
And somehow, I don't want to be all, "Just to prove you wrong, Patty, I'll send you a pic and show you just how much uglier I am than Lucy." and have you load it and go, "Um, well...I never question that you're always right!"
Is it sad that I'm actually slathering intensive treatment hand lotion in between sentences? I'm not joking. Damn puffy cuticles! It adds ounces to my hands!
Bono looks hot in Rolling Stone. If only I could actually buy the damn thing and put it under my pillow, where my MSG tickets used to be.
Note to self: Pick up Rolling Stone this afternoon, before it's off the stands! I always do that!

I nearly missed the Green Day Rolling Stone for that reason, Mabs! Luckily I didn't, and now I lick Billie's face every night before going to bed.
That is hot, Ellie. Disturbing as hell, but hot nonetheless.
I'll try and remember to pick up a copy today as well.
YIKES!!! Our MSG shirt on eBay!!
I will DEFINITELY be picking one of those up if they have them for my MSG show.
That's nice.
How much were they at the show? $40?
They're $35, but Tiff and I got Youth shirts for $20. I can't believe that shirt's going for over $100 on eBay!!! Yeow!
Hmmm, maybe I'll buy 3.
One for me.
One for my wife.
One for eBay.
Are they on sale yet? We've still got Paul on the cover today.
Geez, Nic, we should've bought more shirts and sold 'em! We could've made back what we paid for the tickets! (But who'da thunk they'd sell for that much?)
Rolling Stone w/ Bono went on sale last Friday in the States. I saw one at CVS on Friday, but was w/ someone else, so I figured I'd just come back and get it later. Yesterday I looked at several places and none had it! Eek! So that means today is my last shot! I'm going to go over to Borders after class, and let the games begin there.
Cripes, is it considered the Oct. 20 issue? I thought the US and Canada got their Rolling Stones at the same time - what gives?
Okay, need sleep now.
(BTW, does your 10/14 audio have some strange skips in Miracle Drug and STYCMIOYO?)
WTF are you doing (still?) up before 6am?!?! Doing l*w s****l aps?!?!
Dunno, but it I think today's the last day it should be on regular newstands. It'll be a wild goose chase for sure!
I don't recall there being any problems w/ 10/14. Though I'm not sure...no, I did listen to it all the way through. I don't think I had skips during MD/SYCMIOYO. I'll check it out sometime today and get back to you.
Guhh...got caught up watching Mythbusters and planning Europe 2007 with Winnie. Didn't leave her place until 5:15am. I think it was that verdi maple macchiato that Starbucks just released - tasty and strong, I tell ya! (And stupidly expensive - it's coffee, for chrissakes!)
L*w s****l apps are getting there - send out 2/5. The other 3/5 are all the Ontario ones and I have to complete them online, which - luckily - means I have the whole weekend to get them done for Tuesday.
Do you have an ITAS filming this week? Who's the calibre guest now? Pauly Shore? Roseanne Barr?
So, you're definitely planning Europe for 2007, not Asia?
No planned ItAS until November 15th, or somewhere around there. That's The Producers taping w/ Lane/Broderick/Stroman. Again, 2 repeat guests. Kind of on the lame side. Then, there's nothing planned until the Lawrence/Chapelle/Latifah trio in one week in December (the week before finals...or maybe even of some evening class finals!) Should be interesting.
I picked up my copy of Rolling Stone this afternoon, after my COM class was cancelled for the second time this week. I'm all about spontaneous cancellations (especially for a class that's as meh as that one) but some advance notice might have been nice! I dragged my ass off the couch, where I was all curled up PMS-style, to go to that damn class only to find it was cancelled. Good thing I live right here. If I came all the way from Brooklyn or uptown, I would have been ripSH*T!!
Not much else of interest. I had a conference w/ my journalism prof yesterday afternoon, and he said he's got a contact at HBO, so I've e-mailed him my resume and he's going to pass it along w/ a good word. Ordinarily I'd be getting excited, but after "HIRE MABEL!" went on deaf ears, I've given up on getting overly giddy on the intership/job front.
Guess that's about it. I had an e-mail from my friend who had the great GA spot on 10/14, and I tried to forward it to you but it got bounced back, Tiff. I don't know if it was because the file was just too big (4 video clips) or what? *shrug* They weren't anything special, but there was one of Bono that was ridiculous just because he was so friggin close!!! I'm very jealous of him.

Curled up on the couch PMS-style sounds good! I may go do that now, in fact. Hurrah.
P.S. Who loves Madonna's new song? Me!

Yeah, I suppose that was probably more info than any of you needed, but I really was rather pissed that I dragged my ass off the couch and into the cold for nothing...even if it was only 4 blocks!
I've only heard bits and pieces of the new Madonna song. Meh. Truth be told, I've never been much of a Madonna fan. *gasp*

Never been a Madonna fan? I've never been obsessive, but c'mon, she's had some great tunes!
And there's no such thing has TMI on this thread.
Nah, never been much of a Madonna fan. I guess old-school Madonna is fine and good, but everything from the past few albums hasn't really done much for me. *shrug*
And now, to completely change the subject...why does my room smell like maple syrup?!? It's SO STRONG! Very strange.
Thought you guys might be interested in this...It's an hour or so of Wenner's 10 hour interview w/ Bono for the current issue of Rolling Stone.
I haven't really listened to it yet, but I saved it and I'll pop it on sometime. I listened to a couple minutes and it sounds like it should be interesting!
Bono Rolling Stone audio interview
Well, Lane/Brod/Stro would at least give you the opportunity to feed into the inevitable Producers buzz (and the nightmare that seems to be Odd Couple!)...for six hours. Did you ever hear back from the producers regarding what your responsibilities will be?
Try e-mailing the file to be again. It should be the right address if you're just hitting "Reply" on an email I've sent.
I'm SO disappointed in the new Madonna song! I really, really wanted to like it (as an old-school Madonna fan and a closet ABBA fan) but it just didn't do anything for me! Boo.
I know why your room smells like maple syrup, Mabs. What do you think Canadians urinate when they're on the can? Duh.
I'll definitely have to save the Bono Rolling Stone interview. How is the photo spread? I'm trying not to spoil it by reading too much of rollingstone.com first - it's still freakin' Paul McCartney? Love him, but SCOOT!
I think Seasonal Affective Disorder has officially sunken in. I'm so moody, tired and unmotivated all the time. I turned down easy money tonight (4 hours of minimal work, $100 pay for Supernatural) and took a 4-hour long nap instead. Haven't even really started my l*w s****l personal statements for any of the 3 Ontario law schools yet, and they're due in a couple of day.

So you AREN'T going crazy, it really is smelling like maple syrup everywhere. (I just like to mark my territory, you see. [evil laugh]) Really though, that's so strange. Maple syrup over ALL of Manhattan?
(I really DO miss everything good! )
I don't know what was up w/ the maple syrup. It was like someone tapped a friggin tree in the living room! It was so strong it was offending my nasal passages...and it made me want some pancakes.
Hmmm...not much else. 10/11 is up on interference. Didn't really seem that great from what I listend to of it. OOC was kind of a meh version, and the crowd sounded kind of blase'. Maybe it was just the mix or something.
I'm sure Lane/Brod/Stro will be quasi-interesting. I wonder if they'll limit it to The Producers/Odd Couple or if they'll go through their entire careers...again.
I read the RS interview this afternoon. It was pretty good. There are some nice pix. A lovely one of Bono and Ali, and an odd one of Bono and his assistant where it looks like she's snuggling up to him and whispering something in his ear. I think she's just looking over his shoulder at the monitor of his laptop, but it was still kind of...too close.
I just posted a ridiculous rant on the footwear thread on interference. I don't know what I was thinking. I totally bitched out some person (and other footwear hoarders) who was asking for a $350 charity donation for their shows, because they've already got every U2 show/DVD in existance, so they can't be bothered w/ trading anymore. Well, that sounds like a personal problem. Who's going to drop $350 for a boot?!?! I'll take that $350, buy the officially released DVD, a lower bowl ticket (or a scalped GA) and treat myself to a hotel room for the night. Good lord!
Is the maple syrup scent coming from the sewers? It could be much worse than maple syrup! I suppose it's more an issue of too much of a good thing.
I won't bother DLing 10/11 then. Have you listened to 10/7?
Bono has a female assistant??? Oh, really. Is she pretty? Tell me she's homely and fat. And old. Say it!
I'll check out Interference - why do I have a feeling you're going to be getting a lot of "but it's for CHARITY" remarks?? $350 seems excessive, even if their hearts are in the right places. Maybe start at $20? $50 for DVDs?
These people asking for huge donations for footwear just make me laugh.
$350?! Crazy. Unless they are recording the live performance that U2 does in my living room - I ain't biting.
