Well, okay, I sold the tickets to a guy named Sam, who's going to the Vegas show with her, and I had to mail the tickets to her address at Quality Parking!
Whoa, how random, Tiff.
I assume you want Tiff on AIM - because I'm already on.
That's crazy, Tiff! Did you see the pix of them playing on interference? It sounds like they did a hell of a job. There's one w/ the guitarist w/ Edge's Explorer w/ Edge and Bono sitting down on Larry's little drum platform that's kind of funny. Oh, and the "Larry Mullen Band" t-shirts they had made were rather amusing too. It's so cute that they all wore them for the final encore.
Pat, why didn't you try to snag tix for LA too? You shoulda been there, bud!
Link me, link me, link me Nic! (Heyyy...that Vegas show I sold him the tickets to was for tonight!) Are there any boots of it yet? Which song did they do? OOTS?
I looked into it, but seats were quite expensive and I've been focusing on New York-mania.
Not too be too cheesy, but seeing them at MSG will be a dream come true so it's best this way. I won't have seen them so recently - ya know?
nvm, it was Out Of Control. How freakin' wild. I was supposed to see if I could get Sam one floor ticket to LA1, but it didn't end up happening. Wow...
What a great story, Pat! Now I know someone who knows someone who manages someone who got discovered by Bono!
Nic, START PRACTICING THE GODDAMN TRIANGLE!
Off to find my triangle...what do y'all think would be the best song to volunteer my services for. Hmmm...I'd have to make a sign too...and get a GA!
Exit w/ the lads in their LMB shirts
Wow! Where'd they get those tees from? Did the girls give it to them? Great pics. How exciting. I don't know what I would do if I was in that situation!
Tiff has now seen a recent picture of me...
I wonder if she'll still be my friend.
Girls, let's hide. It's the same guy just featured on Dateline Friday.
Everything's fine, Stephen!
Please Mabel, walk faster.
Do you think he knows our real names yet?
The people at Dateline said I'd be famous.
You will be famous, Stephie! Just start walking to those bright lights! It's either a camera crew, the pearly gates, and if there's a tinge of blue and red, possibly the...er...yeah, walk towards those blue and red ones, Stephen!
Guys, RUN!
But...seriously....Mr. Demille, I'm reading for my closeup!
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
*shouts to Tiff as I run* I think they had the shirts made. Everyone on the road crew had them on before the show as well. *darts off*
Ah yes, I'm reading the thread now. Awesome tees. Apparently some woman named Paula made them in 2001??
Ahahaha...ahahahahaha...hahahahahahahahaHAHA!!
Now, I'm not saying all men are scum, but reading this just gave me an idea after the "If you had 24 hours to live..." thread of what I would do to some of my exes...
Ahahahahahahahaha...
Pa. Man Sues Ex-Girlfriend for Gluing Genitals to His Abdomen More Than Five Years Ago
GREENSBURG, Pa. Nov 3, 2005 — A man claims his ex-girlfriend owes him more than $30,000 for gluing his genitals to his abdomen five years ago. "This was not just some petty domestic squabble," attorney Grey Pratt told a Westmoreland County jury Wednesday.
His client, Kenneth Slaby of Pittsburgh, is suing Gail O'Toole of Murrysville. His lawsuit claims the two broke up in 1999 after dating for 10 months and Slaby began dating someone else.
Slaby contends that O'Toole invited him over to her home on May 7, 2000, where he fell asleep. He woke up to find that O'Toole had used Super Glue to stick his genitals to his abdomen, glued his buttocks together and spelled out a profanity on his back in nail polish.
Slaby said O'Toole told him it was payback for their breakup, and he had to walk a mile to a gas station to call for help. He pressed charges and O'Toole pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and served six months' probation.
O'Toole's attorney, Chuck Evans, said it was a consensual act and Slaby wasn't permanently damaged.
"This is a case that should have been left in the bedroom," he said.

ETA: A quick Google search shows that Mr. Shaby was 52 at the time of the incident, and that he was still physically and emotionably capable of running a 5km marathon in 22 minutes at the end of August, 2000! Good for him!
Note to self: Make sure if self only has 24 hours to live, exes will not be able to complete a marathon of any sort (unless under Women's Division), and body parts will not have to detached from body, but in fact, recovered from either sensory police dogs or scuba divers.
Amateur.
Huzzah! I heard back from the B+P girl, and she sent me her list, so I guess I am making out like a bandit in this deal. Good lord, Pat. I think I would have freaked out if you'd discovered the "lost" DVDs after I got the new set from her!
So, I think I'm getting the following:
-Best of 1980-90 music videos (because I'd rather not buy it for $10-15 on eBay)
-Unforgettable Fire at Dortmund w/ VH1 Legends
-Rattle and Hum Outtakes (4 discs)
-Lovetown Dortmund
-Elevation MSGIII 10-27-01
Unless there's anything any of you guys are desperate for from her list. I was tempted to get the War Red Rocks, but I have it on VHS, and I've heard they might release the show officially (and in its entirety)...I was hoping she'd have the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, because I forgot to tape that, but alas, no dice.
Anyway, I guess that's about it for now. Let me know if there's anything that you'd rather have me swap out for any of these. I think I'm going to check out what's actually on the R&H outtakes, since that's 4 discs!

Wow all four of those are the Rattle And Hum outtakes? How many discs did you send her? Will check the link you sent me, but your present list looks great! Does Elevation MSG 2001 have No Doubt opening?
I sent her 9 blank discs. I think No Doubt opened that show at MSG, but I don't think they appear anywhere on the boot. I think I'll also ask her for that Early Years 1979-82 DVD, as that would make 9. I feel kind of bad asking her for 9, since it was initially 7 and I sent two extras in case there were duds, but whatever. I guess I'll just ask her and see what happens. The R&H outtakes look interesting. What's w/ "Limo ride through Manhattan with Bono on the Way to hospital" on Disc 3?!?! Strange!
I just had a near heart attack in the laundry room. I went down to put my clothes in the dryer and the washing machine said E: dL...WTF?!?! So, I pressed start and it was on the spin cycle w/ a minute left, it spun for about 5 minutes and the error came up again. Eeek. Now, I'm not worried about having to go and fetch help, but I am worried about getting an RA and then getting fined for overloading the washer. I was convinced I broke it, but just as I was about to leave, the washer next to me (that a girl had just loaded w/ about 1/2 load) came up w/ the same error message. Anyway, long story short, after calling an RA and pushing and yanking on the door, it eventually opened. Apparently it happens all the time, though I've never had it come up before. I was so worried about getting slapped w/ a $50 fine or something for overloading the machine! Guess I won't be doing that again.
Would you get your charming Minnie Mouse-voiced RA? [high-pitched] "Oooh! You over-loaded the wash? This has never happened before. AND you missed not one but two meetings? Consider this $50 fine a buy 1, get 2 free deal!"
Hey you know, we don't have any Vertigo tour DVDs yet. Do you think it's worth while to get one? Chicago3 was the good show, right? Or was that Chicago4...
ETA: WTF?? When was Bono on Oprah? That looks recent!
ETA2: From that list, I like the ones you've picked. All looks good! Do you still have 1 DVD spot open, or are you trying to keep it closer to 7 since the other two are just back-ups? If you still have one open, I wouldn't mind getting like, a highlights of Vertigo DVD, or whatever can fit onto one disc. (I'm not familiar with DVD-Rs - one concert/show fits onto one disc, right?)
I actually do have 3 Vertigo shows. San DiegoI and II, and one of the AZ shows. If she had ChicagoIV (which I've heard is floating around somewhere) I'd go for that, but she only had ChicagoII (I think the 9th was II). And I think that's the same show they shot for the official DVD. Pity she didn't have your Seattle show. I wonder if it even exists??...And I think that Oprah interview might have been from around the Elevation tour?? Were there any of the other Vertigo shows you would be interested in? I've actually got an extra copy of SDII floating around, so I can send that to you sometime.
Oh whoops, it is Chicago 2. I read "Chicago 3 - cam" but didn't notice the 'cam'. Sending SD my way would be splendid! I like the Anaheim setlist from Apr. 2. Is that a possibility?
BTW, if Stephen's the one copying my DVDs - PM me! I'll try to send a few bucks your way or something - DVD-Rs don't come cheap!
Hmmm...I just looked at the setlist, and I think that's really AnaheimI. I have an audio of that show, and I really like it. And then what's up w/ Oslo? A 13 camera edit?!? Decisions, decisions. I probably shouldn't get the R&H outtakes since that takes up 4 discs, and there's probably only like 1 thing in each disc that I'd be interested in (the Springsteen thing/visit to Graceland, limo ride through Manhattan on the way to the hospital, One Tree Hill). Hmmm...And yeah, Pat's going to have to do the copying. Sorry, Pat! I'll get a DVD burner some day, I swear! So I suppose any arraging on what to send, etc, you guys could sort out. I'm just going to send him the discs, and hopefully there won't be 2 months of lag time before he gets them this time! Though really, this looks like it'll end up working out fairly well!
Edited, because I forgot to close my Bold...oops!
Ugh, just made a tuna sandwich and something's not sitting well. What is it with me and fish?? (Not a word, Ellie.)
Anaheim looks good - that would be my pick if you've got an extra DVD to use.
Pat, PM me when you get this! (Right now, Chita's show has just started, so he won't be back on until tonight!)
Gotta run - post office to mail off that application and hopefully your package!
